See how to change the front diff fluid and the transmission fluid on your Polaris Ranger 800 Crew in this video from Partzilla.com. The drain and fill bolts on the front and back are tricky to get to on this model. In fact, the Polaris service manual recommends removing the front bumper to get to the front differential. But we’re not going to do that.
We’ll use an extension and a swivel to get our 8mm hex head back to the drain and fill bolts, and on the back we’ll need to use the swivel again to reach the drain and fill bolts. Then, we’ll use a hand pump and some clear fuel line to feed the fresh fluid in. You’ll find everything you need in the link above.
As far as the diff fluid and transmission fluid for your Polaris Ranger 800 Crew, you’ll use two different fluids. Demand Drive fluid in the front, AGL fluid in the back. It is crucial that you not mix up this important detail and use the wrong fluids. Find both in the link at the top of the description.

Demand drive fluid and Mobil 424 are the same thing correct ?? Transmission fluid is ATF+4 , and Angle Drive gear fluid is 75-90W synthetic ?? Thanks !! 😊

my 2013 800 ranger crew; on the rear gearcase - I could not find the lower drain plug where this video shows, I found the Level Check and alternate fill plug where you refilled, and mine has a rear fill plug for filling. Is my 2013 800 ranger crew lower drain plug where you show? Where is it? I cannot find it. Love your videos thank you!

Hey John/Partzilla Team - I think the 2013 Ranger Polaris Crew 800 - that the transmission rear gear case drain plug is UNDER the Ranger, my owners manual does not show this, it does say "the drain plug is located near the bottom of the gear case." Do you agree? Makes me nervous - I think I did it right as long as the Rear Gearcase (main) drain plug is UNDER the rear gear case....and not on the side of the machine as this video shows on the 2011....
