The comparison is somewhat of a wast of effort because some of the handling issues they decribed on the Commander could have been adjusted out. The King suspension is certainly capable of dialing out pogoing & kicking by someone who knows what they're doing with suspension adjustment.

I heard that Polaris may be putting a V-8 in the RZR next year.

So if the rear wheels weren't spinning, why would you need 4wd?

I just sold my commander because the cab heat was so bad u could stand to stay in it.

hard to compete a sport/utility side by side to a pure sport side by side, but if we were to do this comparison with a different sport/utility side by side vs the rzr, it wouldnt come nearly as close as the commander did

my commander is 2012 1000xt and it doesnt have qe. the new 2013s do. i've seen them on the outlanders and they seem ok but i still dont think theyre as good as polaris awd WHEN you're running big tires. i had a rzr 800 on 32 backs and it just seemed to work better without breaking front axles. i have 29.5 ol2s on my commander and i cant get down on it too hard in 4wd or it'll break a front axle.

the purpose of this was to see if they built up the commander to perform like a pure sport rzr. the outcome was that they couldnt. this video was made in 2012. there was no maverick back then. probably 10k put into that commander in bolt ons. i got a commander and a 1k rzr. i really like the commander for the purpose i got it for. and its still a strong seller in the sxs market today. but its not gonna run with a pure sport sxs.

some clutch work may have done alot in the power and top end on the commander and would have not been out of the parameters you set of no engine mods and bolt on only.....

I have a RZR 900xp and a good friend of mine has the Commander and we both agree that the RZR is WAY better

Visco lock qe is much better then Polaris AWD what model is you commander and year also trim because if you have the old visco lock yes that was a pos but the Visco lock qe is much better now!

compare it to a maverick. the commander is utility/sport. the rzr is all sport

My 1991 Suzuki Quadrunner 160 does 55. These should go much faster. I guess that's what actual gears and a non-limited engine does.

i went there 2 or 3 years ago and its really small and not that great in my opinion.. i live in eastern pa and have family just over the border in ohio and while i was visiting them we decided to check it out cuz it was only a hour away and hell I go farther then that to ride from my house and if I went there just for that I would have been royally pissed... Ill never go back even if im already there for family

I still would prefer CAN AM much more reliable in the long run compared to Polaris Products

The rzr definitely won they put in so much money into that commander just to keep up with a STOCK rzr, all that money could have gone into the rzr and made it a can't - touch

this is kinda silly, build a slower heavy utv and try and say I think it can be better then a sport utv that is made to go fast and act mental, the rzr is like a apple ipad right now its the best thats a fact but there will alwys be someone that trys to rock the boat and say it can be beat

IMO, Visco lock has nothing on Polaris's baby. Visco lock is Can Am's downfall.
