As a fellow Yorkshireman all i can say is this, if you want to learn how to fish this is the best man to watch. He keeps everything simple and explains it very well.........what else do you need.

Every time I watch a Tom Pickering I lean something new and this video is no exception. And when his grand daughter becomes a world champion that will three generations and make no mistake she will !!

Hi Tom, in my humble opinion this is possibly the best instructional video on pole fishing i have ever seen! Good simple easy to understand for beginners. Interesting that Tommy has gone to using a Drennan pole but still coaching Dave Preston and i often wonder why he left the company, having been Mr Preston for so many years. I hope there are more video's like this. Regards Bill

An amazing insight from one of englands 3 musketeers .. Tom Pickering Bob nudd Alan Scotthorne .. I know Tommy won’t mind me saying this but what ever video they put out watch as you will learn from the 3 best British anglers in world fishing over past 35-40 years even not including Kevin ashurst and heaps and loads of others who were amazing xx but this was amazing Tommy

lovely video ive just got into pole fishing my biggest question is the float to shot weight so (exp) if i use at 4x12 float its says on the graph its uses 5x no 10s but when use them like how its say the float bristle and some of the body is out of the water. so what i do is then add a few more shots to make just the bristle show but then what is the point in having a graph thats saying 5x no 10 shots if it dosent work and other videos am i missing something here or am i just thick.

Great video, but looks to me like the side tray is set too low. I find that above the level of the seat is better, less twisting & more comfortable ?
