Polestar Vs Tesla which is the car to buy? most importantly do they have automatic wippers? I know that's not important but a recent Twitter rant by a Tesla fan accused Polestar of missing loads of things Tesla has well here's my opinion on which I think is better seeing I own a Tesla and just bought our first Polestar 2 to sell to our good friend and customer ‪@EVNewsDaily‬

I absolutely agree with every observation you made. The Polestar is a far superior car and beautifully made not just aesthetically but structurally. Typical Volvo inspired attention to safety in the structural design as they have forgotten more than Tesla have ever known about safety in a vehicle design. Keep up the great work Polestar and thanks for another great video.

My model y wipers work well, might have gone Polestar but they don’t appear to have a dedicated charging network. I’m glad I went Tesla, I don’t miss all the pointless buttons I had in my previous car, all the buttons I need are either on the steering wheel or stalks. I am typing this on an iPad, and I don’t miss my laptop!

Tesla network is top notch in most countries and here in Sweden they have opened up 72% of chargers for all EV. So it almost wont matter what car you drive. Thats all good but they still refuses to sign Union contract thats bad.

One great feature of the Polestar2 is its Active Pixel headlight system which automatically only dips that portion of the high beam directed towards oncoming headlights. North American models miss this feature FWIU due to regulatory restrictions but for the rest of us Polestar2s have what is probably the most advanced version of this functionality available worldwide.

I love all things electric I buy and sell cars for a living only EV I don’t tend to buy is leafs at I don’t trust the batteries on them

For what’s its worth, never had an issue with less buttons and the voice control serves me well. I must be in the minority as just about every car reviewer bangs on when they sit in a car with no buttons or capacitive buttons

I test drove a Polestar 2 years ago. Very nice. Not for me because i didn't like the overly enclosed cockpit or the lower ride height. The new one is more tempting as it got big range update but I won't go for it because of those two. But i agree it wins over the Y (which is my comparison car) on stalks and wipes. Indeed Ive never read anything good about the auto wipers on tesla. Ever. Just crazy. Its a bit like Jonny Ive at Apple being obsessed with taking thinness beyond practical limits.

2:55. Yes you CAN simply press the stalk for wipers in the Tesla. Maybe you meant something different?

A little off topic. I am looking at a bmw i3 120ah and an e-golf larger battery. I do 150 miles each week, which would you recommend? I don’t have kids so the 4 seats are fine also. Thanks 😊

As a previous i3 owner I rate it, group up EV and little different plus group up EV. The golf I heard is a great little car but it’s just a golf.. slightly on topic I sell cars for a living that’s my real job I have an i3s in currently but I can also source cars I don’t have in

Neighbour's fairly new Tesla model Y completely shut down two weeks ago in the middle of a busy car park and they were unable to get out, despite receiving instructions from Tesla's emergency helpline. Car was totally dead and they were trapped in it for two hours until the Tesla mechanics arrived and rescued them. To date Tesla does not know what the fault is and neighbours currently have a courtesy car. All the usual culprits such as DC to DC converter failure or dead 12V battery have been ruled out, so total mystery at present.

Tesla= good Tech plus charging, end of. Boring to look at both inside and out. If im paying 50k i want something for it, not bland design and gimmicks.

The fact that the s3xy buttons and knob are so well reviewed by tesla owners is just proof that many people do want and appreciate having that connection with the car / ease of access to crucial functions without fidling with the screen
