David Graf’s “Tackleberry” was my favorite of the crew as a kid. Had a conversation with Leslie Easterbrook when I met her and we talked about him. God rest his soul. He was not acting, he was mostly just being him. A great guy.

When framed in a comedic movie it is funny depiction of a police officer. When in reality...nobody wants to encounter a real life Tackleberry on the streets.

@@trilobite2500 I'd opt for the S&W 686, the Python's main competition or the Ruger GP100. Both can do everything the Python can but if damaged, you'll feel a lot less guilty about it. Original Pythons are $3500+ nowadays. Even a pre-lock 686 is $1500+. A brand new GP100 is $650+/- $50

Tackleberry was the s***he's one of my favorite characters in the whole series too him Jones hightower Mahoney nogada , lazard his brother even his nephew who was probably his brother's son unless he had another brother or something but tackleberry he wasn't playing

Kudos to the man who gave some of my best childhood memorys. Brought me to shooting. Motivated me to join the military and later join the police. Even when he asumed to be the bad ass cold blood guy... he was allways humble to be human, have a laugh and keept up to his colleges and also friends. Police Academy will be missed ... thank you all actors for this good times.
