On January 8th, 2023, officers were dispatched in response to a case of domestic violence. The caller reported that she had been hit in the face by her husband and wanted the police to let him drive on the road so that they could arrest him for DUI. Her husband described what had happened earlier between them. Even the woman demanded that the officers get her husband a hotel for the night. The officers arrested the husband’s friend as well, since he had a previous warrant. She continued to abuse the officer even in jail. The female was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest.

She said the officers, the night before, were nicer and hung out with her for an hour. She’s upset with these officers because they want to get to the point and find out what happened. She thinks the police are supposed to be her buddies and spend quality time with her🤣 This couple needs to either get divorced or get marriage counseling and find some friends. I don’t think they understand the job duties of the police.

These cops are freaking awesome. The wife tried to use the PD as 1-800-dial-a-gun, and the cops were smart enough not to be used like that. Too many calls the police respond to are people trying to use the PD as a summonanble minon army. Also, 1000% she should also have been charged with making terroristic threats against law enforcement.

As a young mixed race man in my teens (London England) I used to dislike the police. Constantly getting stopped and search etc However the more I grew older, I realise that they take so much abuse that it’s not even worth the money that they get at the end of the month. A large majority of them do a decent job but can have a bad day or a small minority can ruin it completely for them. We’d be screwed without them

I started listening to my local police scanner....when you realize 95% of their calls are dangerous domestics, hospice deaths, and having to pick up super morbidly obese people off the floor? You realize how taxing their jobs are....I could never do it....I used to hate the police when I was doing dirt...because I was doing DIRT lol....everytime I got messed with? I deserved it! People are just so ignorant they will call the police right away but despise them for doing their jobs 🤷🤦

This is a great comment and shows an unbiased perspective and meaningful contemplation on your end. As with racial issues, you can’t just lump everyone together based on the actions of some. I always think of all the people that rag on police and declare that they hate them or they are ‘useless’, how quickly they would be calling them if anyone committed a crime against THEM, stole their car, hurt their loved one, etc. I see so many comments where a cop has to go hands on with a resisting offender and people will gripe about that, then, when they try and work with the offender and don’t immediately handcuff them, the same people say ‘do your job!’ - many of them aren’t looking for a solution, they just love to complain and nothing will be good enough anyways. It’s SO EASY to make comments about a person doing a job that you most likely couldn’t do yourself (not you, the commenters). It makes people feel good to sit back on their high horse and hurl insults and judgements, all the while never stopping to look inwards. I think you explained that very well! Have a great day!

@@whitway12 thank you for the nice words. I agree with everything you’ve said. Even though I’ve been racially profiled I know my people are also high up in certain stats for certain crimes. I don’t want my children to become a victim of those same crimes so I try to put my pride aside and respect the job they’re doing, keeping an open mind. I’ve watched vids of police saving children from being kidnapped to some vile humans, using really good detective work. I’ve seen police put in certain situations where I know personally, I would have completely lost it! I would have wanted to turn my camera off and do wrong to somebody who has wronged someone innocent. It’s takes a huge level of patience to deal with many members of society. People in general have got to have some understanding and realise where we would be without them. Also, a factor I believe many people miss out on is that police can only act within the law. So when people say police are useless because they didn’t arrest this person or lock away that person, they need to understand that they cannot take the law into their own hands, they are bound by it. The criticism is generally aimed in the wrong direction, the critique should be with the law makers instead. Enjoy your day too

@phillipfuller7382 From what I've seen, courts don't even review bodycam unless it's discovery. Apparently, its only use is to hold police accountable and not suspected criminals. If they were used for every arrest, they might get appropriate sentences. Shitty DA's give sweet deals, and now it's a free for all.
