A little boy is missing after a brutal home invasion, with the main suspect being his father.

1:43 Even if you’re innocent, always get a lawyer. Requesting a lawyer to be present isn’t a confession, it doesn’t make you guilty. I can’t remember how this episode went, but I’m pretty sure the dad is innocent and everything they’ve been throwing at him is just theory without actual evidence

That dad had every right to be mad (if he's innocent). I already have a problem with this show with how aggressive the cops can be in Chicago (not a good look for real cops); if they were to grab me in the middle of the night, accuse me of killing/kidnapping my son, keep asking me weird questions and then almost INSIST I'm the one that did it? I'd demand a lawyer. They try to rough me up, I start prepping my case and then I clap back if I feel my life is in danger. Because in that moment, that's not a cop interrogation. That's an assault.

Apparently later in the ep, Hank apologizes to the father for accusing him (since, as a surprise to probably no one but Hank and Antonio, it turns out he was innocent after all).

When they concentrate on a character means he didn't do it. The writers are trying to make you think he did it and wham, it's someone else.

I love Olinsky. I don't know why, but I just do. He's definitely got that Voight vibe about him. And when he whipped out that tool to break the car window I was like "Ok. He means business." lol
