Police Identify Killer of Righteous Brothers Singer Bill Medley's Ex-Wife

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has identified the man they say killed the former wife of Righteous Brothers singer Bill Medley. In a press conference attended by Medley and his son, Darrin on Monday, authorities said Kenneth Eugene Troyer, a serial rapist shot dead after escaping prison in 1982 was confirmed as Karen Klaas' killer. District Attorney Jackie Lacey said familial DNA was used as a "last resort" and is an "invaluable resource" for cold cases. #InsideEdition

The same thing happened to a dear friend of mine who also was raped, and murdered (stabbed) to death in Mar1983, by what the Santa Clara Co. police said was a Serial Killer. I only found out many years later, because Diane and I were teenagers when we were hanging out together in the late 60's to early 70's, and we moved in different directions. I was shocked and also very sad to hear about her being murdered, but I was also shocked to hear that her killer was given a 16 yr sentence, but only after a few years, he was released from prison, so if he's still alive, he's walking free, while Diane who was 29 when she died and who did not know her killer, no longer breathes air. Our 'justice system' is 'no' justice, but only a money-making governmental scheme from the day the suspect enters the courtroom, to the day he is a convicted killer, free on bail to rape and kill again.

I know how you feel. Bobby Hatfield wouldn't have been around for the party as he would be 78 years old today. He passed when he was 63 years old. Bobby died hours before a scheduled Righteous Brothers concert - on January, 2004. The toxicology report concluded that an overdose of cocaine had led a fatal heart attack. Hatfield had advanced coronary disease, and according to the coroner, there was already a significant amount of blockage in the coronary arteries. One of the true soul singers that made you shiver when he hit those remarkably powerful high notes & the duo blended so perfectly.

Bill's other son is Damien... standing back here. He is Bill's adoptive son... Karen's child by her second marriage and Bill raised him with his own son Darrin. Will Farrell's father was Lee Farrell who was a a member of the Righteous Brothers band.

Damien is Bill's adoptive son ... standing in the back here to the right. He was Karen's son by her second marriage and Bill raised him along with his own son Darrin after Damien's dad was killed in an accident a few years after Karen's murder.

You know what happened in this case, right? The singer was way too valuable to be allowed to be tied down to a young wife. Producers knew he would never walk out on her for fame and fortune. Even Bill himself is too naive to this day to understand that it was a "Hollywood hit," to free up this talented star to tour and line producer's pockets. Read Bill's book, its a great book, but, sadly, right there between the lines, is the truth behind the death of Bill's beautiful first wife. So whatever is happening to old Hollywood is long overdue, THAT is justice for this beautiful girl.

@@sunaJH He made no such claim in his book. Did hire detective to try and find the killer. One of his reasons for first break with Hatfield was so he could raise his son. Hatfield was not happy. Felt was being deserted.
