There was no reason to have told her to put the phone down in the seconds that was happening, if something had started to go south, if Eswinmade a run for fredom or started fighting the ones handcuffing him, the operator may have needed to tell Aundrea what to d or not do . Aundrea could not hear the police clearly from her position inside the vehicle because they were all so far back from where she was. The criminal could've had another weapon on him that even Aundrea was not aware of, a hidden weapon aside from the 1 they knew he had, so the situation could've turned deadly in a split second. Until he was fully cuffed, it made no sense for the operator to end her means of talking directly to the victim. No need to put the phone down to listen to the police when she could not clearly hear & especially in those tensse moments when if anything went wring, the operatir would need to advise her what to do, like hit the floor of the car or run or.....

Yes & especially when she knew he was armed with her gun & was aware of his state of mind. If she'd stayed silent there's no telling how many more he might have hurt or killed, if he'd continued running. He lied to his wife about how he had killed her, it was NO accident. I mean, if he'd just let her back out of the car, sent her on her way, she may not have even remembered her short talk with him (where he claimed that he hit on her thinking she was a hooker, but who knows if that's even true...?). One of the stupidest, most senseless murders ever.......unless....... ...unless he IS & was without empathy & a real conscience, just a cold blooded cruel psychopath with sick desires who was just embarking on a long contemplated & desired killing career.... Which I think is the case. Look how quickly he decided he'd terrorize & traumatize 2 more innocent people's lives, to use them for his own wants, even shooting 1 guy in the gut (& he was just fortunate to not also murder that poor guy...he could've aimed for his toes at least, not the gut..... jeeez) and just to get another car he could drive for a day or 2 maybe. No,....never give directions to a caller when they haven't been cleared by the arresting officers. Always follow the orders of the officers or you're at risk of causing alarm. You start making even passive moves they will be on the ready. Bad move by the operator.

She's most likely reading the instructions from the officers and also relaying the information from her end to them. It all goes into the same live document (think of a google doc type system) where everyone can see each others comments/entries.

I forget the case where one was was taken hostage and later helped her hostage taker get more victims. Something in her made him click with her and he saw her as a woman it would be easier for other women to trust her. She actually remained in a car when he dragged one victim off into the woods and had his way with her and killed her. She could have easily drove off too. When police get cases like this and are unsure of why the woman is still alive or why the man speaks highly of her (that she is good) and the one that comes to no harm. hmmmm I can see why the police would not trust right off the bat till questioned later or even searched to be sure she has not weapons to gun them down and free him etc...I view it as safetly measures. Once they are sure everyone is safe then they I am sure will treat her more like a victim.

But you know, that little voice in the back of your head telling you; ‘No, this does not feel right, or don’t do that’ But we usually ignore them. And also, most of us are different at work than we are at home, some people are different with friends than with family. Like telling friend’s things that you would not tell family. At work we usually are professionals, don’t stress, talk/listen to our colleagues, don’t have others ‘walk over us’. Things you might do differently at home or with your partner or children. I don’t think that someone is always the same in every situation. And I also believe that part of him, was not sorry for what he did, he was sorry that he got caught! And then put a ‘show’ of how ‘sorry’ he was. And no, I’m not a psychologist, I am a nurse and have been for the last 34 years. And have seen many a personalities through the years. How many times I’ve seen a patient act completely different when family came to visit, acted then different when friends or one of the nurses where there……….It’s pretty interesting to be honest.
