I don't know about that, but I do think the mom's in the toughest spot a woman can be in. Your daughter did a terrible thing and you're hurt by the losses, but you're desperate to protect your own child who had almost died, as well. The mom's desperate to hang on to something she just nearly lost. At that point, she'd do anything to help her child, because that's what parents try to do. Sometimes it's great, sometimes... they should just step back and support them quietly. As far as Mackenzie - I imagine her lawyer told her his goal would be to mitigate her sentence. They have the evidence a jury would likely convict and his job was, more or less, to get her the least worst possible sentence he could.

Who did her mother kill? The only way her murdering those kids can equate to _"her taking after her mom"_ would be if her mom had also murdered someone. And that was never mentioned. I'm not saying her mother isn't a _selfish/narcissistic_ bitch, she clearly is, I just don't think you can blame the mother for the kid, having some wires in her brain crossed, turning out to be a murdering psycho.

I absolutely love that someone actually noticed that. And I am one who can truly appreciate what they did for those kids. I, along with my sisters, were taken in by a couple. A home and food & clothing. The woman, who we actually called mom for a few years, was mentally unstable and was out of the picture while I was still young. But the man, who I called Daddy for many years, was an absolute angel. All by himself and with no help from anyone, he raised us and took very good care of us. He was retired from the Air Force and not very young, but because his retirement income wasn’t enough to support a family of four, he worked full time and then some. We didn’t grow up privileged or wealthy and we were not spoiled at all. But he made sure we had what we needed. Which included having God in our lives. That man sacrificed so much just so we could have what we needed. He loved us and taught us to be good hearted. That man, who I still call Daddy. And I honestly look forward to being with him again in heaven. My heart goes out to all the families and friends in this story. They will be in my prayers ☮️💜🙏

I was in a very bad accident over 30 years ago and still have no memory of what happened 5 minutes before and 30 minutes after, so she may very well not remember the accident itself. *BUT* she had planned on killing her BF well before they even got into the car that night, so what she does or doesn't remember about the accident itself is immaterial. Unfortunately, the other poor kid was in the wrong place at the wrong time, although she easily could've let him out or dropped him off somewhere first. But she didn't, which really shows how much of a cold-hearted f****** c*** @$$ ***** she is, and always will be.

@@j_3.16 , the victims law team were dedicated to spin her actions as cold and calculated murder, and this was not proven in court and I would say there's no preponderance of evidence that can make that claim either. If I remember right, they tried to say that since she was seen on camera taking that route in particular, which is on a public roadway that anyone can access with any car. They say that this route wasn't one that she'd normally take and so, she them must have been planning a murder, which by the way includes a plan of wrecking her own vehicle and risking her own life to pull it all off. It's quite a reach to say this young woman, is guilty for cold and calculated murder, using her own vehicle as the weapon. Then this plan she made employs the use of her own car as the death bringer to her victims, while being a guardian angel to her own life. This lawyer team only had to state this glorified storyline that she's a cold blooded murderer, to convince the stupid jury. I don't mean that to insult any jury, but they are mostly ignorant to case law and the value of supportive evidence. The lawyers were indeed smart to push this narrative, as it punishes her more and satisfies the vengeful hearts of these grieving clients. Now there's something to be stated about her apparent narcissism and lack of empathy, but needless to say, such mental conditions or imbalances aren't criminal, and so her behavior after killing her friends, in her own car, shouldn't be used to judge her entire character outside of her own experiences coping with this tragedy.
@phoenixmistertwo8815
@phoenixmistertwo8815 4 ай бұрын
@@1stfloorguy59 , if you're a bus driver and had an accident that killed 29 people, then you're not at fault unless it's proven, eith good evidence, that the accident was caused by negligence, drugs, or...It was no accident at all and a narrative can be established to argue for malice. Case n point...I used to know a chick in the late 90s that drove a Honda Del Sol like a bat outta hell running from the dogs of war. Eventually I was smart enough to avoid ever riding with her ever again since her fast driving was deficient of any wisdom or experience for the car's limits. She put all her passengers at risk every single time, and she was not lacking in empathy outside of her driving habits. She simply drive fast and couldn't stand to go slow, stating that she drives safer that way. Now even though such a wild statement is akin to a drunk saying they need to drink to drive better, she still wouldn't be at fault for malice if she ended up killing me or anyone else sitting in that passenger seat. She would get something like vehicular homicide and maybe some charge of negligence towards the disregard of general safety and expectation of it while a passenger is in the car. My point is, the courts are really stretching this narrative that she planned this murder, with intent to kill, using her own car that she herself is within. Clearly there would be better ideas than to risk her own life. So what did they do to solve that issue? They tried to argue that she was suicidal.

She didn't plan anything out, she's just an emotional teen like all the rest of them. So she didn't show enough depression on social media after their deaths? Well, we do know she lacks emotional control so, how should we expect her to react? So she dressed up like a corpse on Haloween? Certainly noones ever does that.. No way. I have watched this a few times now, and I'll have to dig deeper because for the life of me, I cannot imagine any fair court system prosecuting this young women for murder with malice, unless that is, her jury were poisoned by sensationalism and the cries for vengeance by the family and friends of the victim of a terrible car accident. My thoughts exactly. Not one mark (visibly on Mackenzie). It may seem hard to believe, but I know someone who became devil possessed after doing drugs, and in another instance just listening to music (System of a Down) which is "rock" or "alternative" music. I believe people who have a love of money end up doing a lot of destructive things, even self-destructive. But after I started reading the Bible, I learned about how devils can possess people. At 34 years old, thankfully, I asked Jesus to save me because I knew my sin was enough to make me guilty before God who is holy and righteous. A kind Christian actually showed me, from the Bible, how that Christ died for our sins and that he was buried and that he rose again according to the Scriptures (King James Holy Bible). I knew that after I prayed to Jesus to save my soul, he saved me. I have no doubt to this day, that if I died, I would go to heaven because Jesus forgave my sins the moment I called on his name. God is merciful to the evil and unthankful (that's you and me). His grace is beyond human understanding! I wouldn't write this to you if I didn't care. The Bible states the love of money is the root of all evil. For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

The mother didn’t sound at all sincere when she addressed the boys’ families in court 😂

I love how the Judge spoke to the mother.

Watching the mom, it was glaringly apparent how her daughter turned out as she did, a self absorbed narcissist, who tended to see herself as the center of the universe . . . until reality closed in around her delusional fantasy world. Just as an aside, she'll get lots of attention from other inmates, but not the sort of attention she had in mind.

You can’t learn in 5 minutes what kind of person someone is. You can judge them in 5 minutes, but you can’t fall in love and think wow this is such a great person in 5 minutes. Of course this defendant would do anything she could given 5 minutes with the judge to be the most upstanding citizen and steal the heart of the judge that is about to give her a sentence. What a eye rolling comment her mother made about that.
