POLICE STOP! My Zenvo TSR-S in Trouble?

We're on the way to the Nurburgring in my Zenvo TSR-S, but the German police have different ideas! It's Easter Weekend, and that means carnage and craziness, but first an epic 100+ supercar convoy from Esser Automotive to the Eifel Mountains. Never a dull day!
It's almost become an annual tradition that I head to the Green Hell for the Easter Weekend and the famous Friday gatherings. This time around we start at Esser Automotive; who are a Koenigsegg dealer, for a convoy of epic proportions chasing out a Koenigsegg CCXR and joined by the likes of multiple new GT3 RS and STOs amongst others.
However, it's not long into the drive, while I happen to be completely out of fuel, that we're all pulled over by the Polizei for inspections and checks. In the case of the Zenvo, having never seen one before, that also means being very interested in the documentation and paperwork behind the registration and homologation - thankfully after some explaining about the IVA and TuV processes, we're all good and back on the way!
Upon arrival to immense traffic jams in Nürburg, we're stopping off at Apex for a meet and greet, while soaking up the atmosphere of a huge day out.

@@coronalight77 yes but no car is agile when it is sat still, what allows a car like a Lotus or even later Nobles to fit in alongside crazy hypercars is that they dont look like a rolling brick, if anything they look more expensive and powerful etc than they actually are. Not too many 400hp cars look right in a carpark next to a 1200hp Zenvo hahaha

Yeah they need more popularity you really don't see too many people owning them. Even with the million+ pricetag but there's plenty of wealthy people who can afford that still

us in Denmark are also really proud of what they have achieved. especially because Denmark is the most expensive place to buy cars in the world, alongside Hong Kong. There is a 180% tax of car's value on top of the price of the car :(

@@gooddypm He has done laps in the Senna before and Im pretty sure he said he wont do laps in the Zenvo because the track was cold and slightly wet, which in the Zenvo would be a guaranteed death sentence

The Zenvo is a beast, the GT500 has a lot of bark, but without a doubt my heart melts for the Emira! I've always been a huge Lotus Elise fanboy, so to see the Emira alongside all those other machines and fitting right in despite being just 1/3 the price of many of them speaks volumes to just how well designed it is, and it's use of that Toyota V6 with a Supercharger is just glorious! Lotus have designed and built a true Elise/Evora Successor right there!

Totally get not wanting to take the Zenvo for laps just yet - firstly it shows that you arent taking ownership of it for granted but more importantly the ‘ring is not the place for first laps in anger in a 1200hp hypercar and your appreciation for that fact speaks volumes of you as a person and a driver.

Easter weekend is a typical time for general police inspection set up especially on routes were people like to drive for fun. It is the time most seasonal plates start be it for bikes or summer cars, so police likes to set up checks.

@@vetteman383tpi spot checks? Bit odd for sure, can't say I've ever encountered any in the UK personally. In fact I think that type of full vehicle spot check is only for truck drivers in the UK, but Germans tend to be rather...precise... 😂 I also note you picked up on two words I used, could be a UK thing, maybe even regional. "Proper" tends to mean "great" in that context, and "relatable" refers to the content being back home, where the cars, roads, weather etc etc all feel "relatable", hard to explain.

police checks on easter weekend got pretty common the last few years. here in germany good friday is called "Karfreitag" many tuners call it "car freitag" instead and hit the road on that silent feast day. as a consequence well... you guessed it polices is out there too. so probably was just bad luck and/or bad timing :D
