Years ago, a truck in front of me with compartments in the back ...turned and went up a side street. A compartment flew open and a 5lbs propane tank bounce across the highway. I followed the guy and he soon turned into a business. I told him what I saw and his response was...."nothing fell off my truck!"....hmmmm.

Looks like there's more work in that divider than in some of the large lots that you do, because most of it has to be done by hand tools. You see a need and you just get it taken care of. What you did to this median strip is a gift. Landscapers are the guardians of the outdoor museum called Earth. They make the world beautiful. My husband and I, when we drive around, look at wherever someone did something helpful or beautiful to the outdoor plant world, and we say, "They didn't have to do that... But they did." People see what good you do. You don't hear from them. But you make their day better. I understand "No good deed goes unpunished." Ah, but that's only coming from a very few that are hurting all ready, grumpy at the world. Most people are grateful.

Sir , you're a good man . When I lived in Georgia , if you were convicted of a traffic offense like DUI . You would be given a choice of jail time or community service . This is what we did for community service . It amazed me how many people choose the jail time because they were too lazy to work . Ask me how I know .

That was an excellent transformation. A lot of effort, commitment and good work ethic will always make great things happen, and you restored that median almost back to its original state. So congrats on a job well done. On top of that you turned in what someone else had lost, probably forgot he'd placed it temporarily on the running-board of his truck while he packed, and it fell off as his vehicle moved. So in one act of good citizenship today doing a transformation of a public space, you performed two good deeds. Bravo. Glad you make a video record of all that you do. Not only does it help you keep track of your jobs, it helps you review your work to see where you can improve to become more efficient when you take on projects, and it gives you an opportunity to look at your tools and equipment so you can decide what needs upgrading, replacement or renewal. I was a cable installer and one of my co-workers was doing a job at a house. He was sitting on the floor in the living room installing an adapter in the wall when the front door burst open and swat came thru the door. They asked who he was and he told them and they told him to just sit tight, so he did. When they came back thru the living room with their suspect in handcuffs, he asked if he was going to get paid for the job he was doing. Police said probably not. So he just got up and left.

We live in a society where we have to protect ourselves from the police by video recording EVERYTHING, whether it's like you did on this job, or putting multiple cameras on your car, or putting security cameras all over the outside & inside of your home or your business, or using your phone's camera to record an exchange with the police, or even wearing a body cam/gopro yourself! Cops automatically assume you are a criminal and have committed a crime & their job is to find ANYTHING that they can change you with so they can improve their arrest record & get promoted for catching the "bad guys" & "making our community safe." There's nothing that can't be made worse by involving a cop! Whether the cops came to your location or you took the ammo box you found to the police station, their FIRST response should have been " THANK YOU!" Thank you for doing the right thing and calling us & turning in a potentially dangerous item (what if a group of kids found this, or a car ran over it...) Thank you for not just keeping the ammo box, which is what MOST people would do. Thank you for volunteering your valuable time to clean up our community, that our own city government is negligently failing to maintain because most of the city's budget goes to paying for the overpaid police department! Yhank you for your service as a veteran! Thank you for CARING! Thank you for putting up with being harassed & accused of breaking the law by a government agency that SHOULD be protecting & serving, but instead are harassing & accusing, it's honest, upstanding citizens! It's no wonder that people don't trust the police, avoid them, fear them, & most of all, hate them! They have done this to themselves, creating a "monster" that people fear & hate, by abusing & misusing their power & authority on the very people they are paid, by OUR tax dollars, to serve! You handled this situation very well, and I just want to say THANK YOU to you, and I hope you know how much your kindness & generosity mean to most of us! We appreciate you so much! The police are NOT your friend! Never talk to the police! Never call the police! Never volunteer anything to the police! All this is coming from a retired 65-year-old woman, veteran, parent, grandparent, & law-abiding US citizen who has never been in trouble with the law! Ever! The atrocities and injustices I have seen police commit on a daily basis makes me ashamed of our country, and I regret serving my country to protect all our Constitutional rights, while THEY break our 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th amendment rights on a daily basis, and get away with it! It's just so sad & demoralizing. We should all expect better from the police, because we deserve better! Our country & our government has failed us!

Great job! Got to love the Honda mowers. I’ve had mine for 15 years and starts first pull every time. Still cuts great. It’s a shame that law enforcement more often than not, seems to be suspicious of everyone, even people trying to do the right thing.
