Maybe a small sponge, cut a slit in it, cover the gap with polish and put the slit around the spoke? Just from experience of trying to remove the discolouration of the downpipe by applying polish on a cotton sock, it tends to tighten and get stuck while moving up and down, would have thought it would be similar for a lace?
@KeepOnWrenching
@KeepOnWrenching 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a fine art of pressure. Spokes are short enough to slide it once around there too. It worked pretty well.
@chantakzee
@chantakzee 2 жыл бұрын
sounds like a great idea, was thinking how is this any better than just use a small piece of cloth and just wrap the spoke and run it up and down, then you come up with a better solution.

Does anyone know what spokes are made of and what is the surface material on the spokes? It has to be galvanized if it’s steel or it would rust. Seems like it would save time by removing the spikes and then clean the hub and spokes them out it back together and true the rim. Shops will true the rims and it doesn’t cost much at all if your willing to wait a few days

And here I thought I was the only one who did it this way, I actually use a metal polish instead of the mothers because it works quicker, and then I use never dull to bring the luster back to life and protect it, and then I finally top it with gtechniq serum ultra ceramic coating.
