As a Christian, it is very refreshing to understand the true essence of the Hindu religion. Thank you for this talk! The point of Devdutt sir where he states that to understand a particular faith, we need to talk to the person who has been practising the faith over years makes so much sense! I do want to mention that Christianity is not an exclusive faith. The scripture teaches us to walk away from a sin but not the sinner. We are supposed to love one another as our own self. (Definitely not practiced by every Christian and our country's history is a proof of that and that's the difference between following a religion and following a faith)

I admire the hindu religion for being so accepting and pluralistic. And also the fact that it is not a rule-based religion. Nothing is imposed on anyone. And they have been historically non-violent with no intentions to 'convert' others. But due to politics, some vitriolic hindus have emerged. They are tarnishing the image of so many peaceful hindus in the name of Lord Ram. Sad.

Quran's hardocre or extremist teachings are not really followed by every muslim. You don't see Muslims praying 5 times a day, wearing burqas and marrying with three women. Most modern Muslims are culturally Islamic. It's just that, people who do this extremist bullshit get a lot of spotlight. So even though they're much less in number, people think that that's how all Muslims are. But I agree with you that Islam needs a ton of reforms.

I don't have anything to complain about you since uhh, you grew in Europe and there's western propaganda but hear me out, if someone takes out that one verse from a hadith they made themselves (*cough cough), you don't need to prove them wrong about it necessarily even if you can every single damn time, just simply say to their faces that there are more verses in the authentic holy books of Islam that condemn violence than support it, as it is true and the real world is a proof of this. My advice to you would be to read the Qur'an yourself as it clears a lot of misconceptions about Islam, after all, it is a letter to all of us from God as we believe it and be quite open-minded in understanding your religion through authentic articles.
