I would add that respecting authority, sometimes, isn’t always what is cracked up to be. That’s how people join cults or give up their autonomy. The Milgram study shows that most give up their moral scruples to authority. But yes, 2020 seems especially weird.

I remember as a little girl watching the Oscars just to see Jack Nicholson with his wayfarers on the front row, I was mesmerized… he aged well and with grace, the same thing can not be said about the Oscars 🥴

My dad was one of the Marines who was on that last chopper out of Saigon, Vietnam. He loved old school SNL and he was a big Jack Nicholson fan - especially for his role in A Few Good Men, as well as his role in Batman as the Joker. I love and miss you so much, Dad. RIP Msgt. In the video play for snl tribute since its political comic sketches they didn't put the one where Dwayne Johnson plays I think "The Rock Obama". I thought that was really funny.
