People with disabilities who have difficulty casting their ballots in the standard manner have several options for the 29 May General Election. The Electoral Commission together with the South African National Council for the Blind has developed a voting aid, the Universal Ballot Template, to assist persons with disabilities and special needs to have an independent and secret vote during elections.
