The most interesting part of those bootleg plushies is that various staff members at PopCap own some. They apparently wanted to give Lixin (the plush company) the license , but Lixin said no because they didn’t want to pay for any licensing fees. This led to EA’s legal team to work with police to raid Lixin’s factory, or something like that. …PVZ plush lore

I have enjoyed watching the hyper fixation videos! The shown effort of not just giving plain information but the silly add-ins of all the silly goober content! It adds a lot of entertainment meanwhile either walking to school or just plain chilling at home. Your content is inspiring too, my favorite video so far has been the screen saver video and I decided to get some screen savers of my own and look back at some content hidden in the technological advancements we have made through-out the years. Yet so nostalgic to others and even comforting in its own silly ways. 👍

Chinese person here: the weird English is most likely because the knockoff companies ran the image with chinese description through a picture-to-text translation software, rather than using the text for an accurate translation. That way all they need to do is screenshot the translated image rather than going through the steps of copying and pasting & formatting. The chinese description itself doesn’t look strange to me, although I’m just seeing a part of it.

The mystery plushie is actually based off of a fake leak from pvz2 for a pitcher plant called “Bursa”. A lot of the companies that make bootleg pvz merch usually base their designs from the fake pvz2 leaks from before the game was released. Trust me, if you look it up you’ll find one of the most bizarre rabbit holes.

0:48, little fact about this Back at the game’s peak in 2010,A company from China (Linxin) started making Plants and zombies plushies,and while they were unofficial,many people considered them to be official,even some Popcap employees had Linxin plushies,and if not for them or other Chinese companies,the only PVZ plushies were only gonna be Peashooter,Sunflower and Squash by Popcap and maybe Yeti zombie from Thinkgeek

Some stuff you should know • Doom-shroom’s Heleworld release is way more accurate, as it’s colors are accurate and it has a mouth. A recent custom also nails the design. • The Crocadile Dentist plants and Zombot Sharktronic Sub are official, and made by Rongdafeng (the master toy partner of PvZ2 in China) • The Spring Bean does have a way more accurate variant that was released with Linxin’s set 4. The one you showed was a Linxin 2 variant that’s based off a bootleg one. Fume-shroom and a few others also share this trait. • Chomper had a Jazwares plush that is accurate • If you would’ve mentioned Cactus, you would’ve noticed how goofy she looks.

The new plant should have some variant of “onion” in its name. The mechanics probably combine Garlic with Peashooter, or maybe with Cabbagepult due to the high angle.

The funny goober mystery plant I think would be called the “squitlime”. “Squit” coming from the word squirt and lime coming from the lime fruit. The idea for the name came from this part of the video (5:27) where it is clearly shown squirting lime juice.
