This is such a beautiful pendant, I need to buy some of that crackle medium but I always forget..., Could I suggest something though, what you said by using jewellery wire is a great idea, but if you don't have that, you could try lining the holes of the beads up with the head pin thru them and then stick them on a piece of double sided tape & then lay the pendant over them then push the pin through, it shouldn't give you too much trouble then. I look forward to the next tutorial. Thanks so much Deb ❤️🙏💐

That was a cute idea with the beads Deb. I hope you’re feeling a bit better by now - your croaky voice may be as a result of your stress and emotional upset recently. Thanks for entertaining us again. 🐨

Please accept my most sincere condolences! Take care of yourself. I was wondering why you crackle painted first but the affect was really cool! You invented a new surface technique -- well done
@clayboutique2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 💕 I’ve always used the crackle paint first. When else would you do it? I don’t think I’ve invented anything 😊
@HuskyMama10092 жыл бұрын
@@clayboutique I have seen it layered where one uses a base color, then the crackle medium, then the top coat. Not seen the crackle medium without the base coat. I think the effects are cool
@clayboutique2 жыл бұрын
Oh, I don’t know. This is the only way I know how to do it. Maybe it depends on which crackle medium you are using?
@HuskyMama10092 жыл бұрын
@@clayboutique unlikely, just the layering. Hope you are doing better! Having lost far too many people I love, please take the time to grieve. Speak to someone if you need to-- even an American stranger on the internet! Bless your day

Easily add a head pin in from the bottom . Thread beads and form hanging loop on top with pliers.

Thanks! I didn’t have any head pins long enough, but yeah, that makes sense!

Another beautiful piece made my friend! So I take it that the crackle stuff you put on the piece just needs to air dry? I’ve really never messed with crackling my pieces. I’ve seen many tutorials of different ways to, but I never tried any of them. May I also send my deepest condolences on the loss of your friend. You’re in my prayers sweetie. 💗
@clayboutique2 жыл бұрын
Yes, just leave it to air dry. Thank you 💕

Deb, I am so sorry for your loss, my heart hurts for you. You will be - are even now - in my thoughts and prayers. I’m glad you let your claying family be with you during this time. Here you’re making this very darling piece (the resin with the colors looks amazing) for us instead of us being there to bring love and comfort there to and for you. Please try to take good care of yourself with hubby’s help. We love you like crazy, you do know that, yes? I have to think so. Huge hugs.

Hello Dep please tell me is Distress crackle paste translucent and Distress paint the same thing? And what thickness must the layers be? KR Sunette ❤
@clayboutique8 ай бұрын
No idea. I use the distress crackle paint, and it’s listed in my Amazon store. You can put it on as thick as you want. The thicker you put it on, the deeper the crackle.
