This is such a beautiful pendant, I need to buy some of that crackle medium but I always forget..., Could I suggest something though, what you said by using jewellery wire is a great idea, but if you don't have that, you could try lining the holes of the beads up with the head pin thru them and then stick them on a piece of double sided tape & then lay the pendant over them then push the pin through, it shouldn't give you too much trouble then. Easily add a head pin in from the bottom . Thread beads and form hanging loop on top with pliers.
