Last week we showed you our Open Rose Roll-up Cutters in action, this week we are showing you our Rose Bud Roll-up Cutters! These cutters make it quicker and easier to create beautiful flower earrings and other creations using polymer clay.
I use my hand as a base to spread out the petals, but you can also use the back of a silicone mould. Ball tools are great for spreading the petals. I like to fan out the petals with a needle tool, but this can also be done with just your fingers or even a toothpick. You can also just leave the petals to give more of a rose bud look.
My polymer clay here was rolled thinner than I would normally roll it when making earrings. It was rolled to around 1mm thick (or 4-5 setting on an Atlas 150).
These Rose Bud Roll-up cutters, along with all the tools we use in this tutorial, are available on our website www.myclayco.com.au.
We hope you enjoy our video tutorial. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments. Happy making!
