Thanks for sharing this technique! I truly appreciate you talking about "real life crafting! I am a frugal and recycling crafter! I agree with you about building your collection, but I believe that's what makes a true artist...make something beautiful with whatever you have, by using your imagination!. thanks again for sharing!!

Love these pendants, they're gorgeous. Great colours and patterns, a really pretty effect overall. Great tips on drilling through poly clay and resin. I've been getting splitting in the resin when drilling and have recently been scouring the internet for ideas on how to avoid this problem .... and you solved it here!! Thank you!! 👍🤗😊

Hey 👋 I was just watching polymer clay tutor reviewing the Lucy clay mammoth machine & in it when she’s rolling the thinnest setting of clay, they use two plastic sheets to help back & support the clay so it doesn’t tear. They apparently sell the sheets at the Lucy clay web site, but I’m sure you could use sheet protectors instead. Now I haven’t set my pasta machine up yet so I haven’t tried it out but I remembered you saying your machine tore your clay on the thinnest setting & thought you might wanna try it out. Hope it works 🤞. ⭐️Lovely colour choices & great techniques, 👍🏼 thanks. Waiting for some inks to arrive so I can give something similar ago 😁. Kirsty

Quick question. Can the drill hole be done before you bake it to prevent cracking? - Love your videos and have been watching just for fun! So soothing to watch! :)

It can but resin will flow through it If u plan on using resin after which makes a mess on the back but I'm sure it could be figured out give it a try

Why don't you resin the backs? And what are the dremel wheels you have for sanding and buffing called? Do you have an Amazon link by chance?

Funky designs, Katie & beautifully finished! A lot appears to depend on the transparency of the translucent clay. Can you tell me which brand you're using? I use Fimo mostly but it can give quite a whiteish appearance when overlaid on colours. Is it because I'm not slicing it thinly enough?

Oh wow these are totally awesome, I very much enjoy watching all of your tutorials, do you have any idea how I can make my own translucent clay, actually I don't care for the high cost of ready made clay, so I do make my own, but do not know anything about what ingredients are used to make the clay translucent, thanks soooo much.

What kind of plastics do you store your veneers in? I use Glad stick and seal but I feel it leaches or something...it also seems oily or sticky when I pull it off.

Why do you sand and buff if you are going to cover them with resin?
@katiegordon610
@katiegordon610 5 жыл бұрын
just looks better under the resin. Resin to me hides a lot but not everything. I don't usually resin to hide more just to add strength and to seal so the inks and whatever else are not affected by wear and things like alcohol in perfume
