In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a beautiful Sutton Slice veneer using multiple colors. This works best with textures that are more than a pattern and have character and a story to them. Also the texture should be a rubber one for the best results.
This was a lot of fun to create and is quite a versatility technique that changes depending on the stamp and colors you use.
The Sutton Slice technique invented by Lisa Pavelka.

I must be getting better at this stuff, as I was thinking that a shiny varnish would be nice, not a resin that loses the texture; then that is what you did! I love the colors. That was a nasty storm happening in the background!

Beautiful work!😊 I also have a question for you..... First of all, I am new to crafting with polymer clay. I just recently purchased the supplies needed to get started and feel just a tad bit overwhelmed, yet excited to start😊 I want to begin with making canes....my question is, how much clay do I need to make the average cane? I purchased several different colors of Premo....to my surprise, the packages are quite small, but totally fine with me... I'm just not sure how much to use....my plan is to begin with three different colors.... hopefully you can help me with this, so I can get started 😊 thank you!

It really depends on the cane you are making. The more complex the cane, the more clay you'll want to use. A jelly roll will probably only need 1\8 of a block of clay per color where as a complex flower could need up to 1\2 a block per color.

@@JessamaTutorials Thank you for your reply😊... I'm sorry my question was a difficult one to answer, as I realize there are so many different canes that can be made. Thank you for giving me a better idea where to begin...PS: I want to compliment you on your tutorials.... keep up the great work!! 🌹🌹🌹

Beautiful as usual. I would love some tips on cleaning the texture stamp

I usually use alcohol and a nail brush to remove clay then wash in soapy water. Works for me. You can purchase stamp cleaners but they do not work any better. Samantha may have a better idea.

I've just tried to buy some of your cutters in your Etsy shop and you no longer ship to the UK. Is this correct ? I did have an order off you a few months ago. Very disappointing, hopefully a temp error, will try morrow. Thanks for all your outstanding videos. x x
