2 popsicle sticks

What an amazing tutorial! I love this technique but I get to the painted pieces part and I am never able to let it dry properly. lol I get too excited. But the thumbnail of your beautiful finished piece really drew me in. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

Contrary to some comments, I think the end product looks great. As you stated there are many types of Turquoise.

That may not be a buffing wheel you have there. Here's a link to wool felt buffers for the dremel, on Amazon:

I will try to give you some pointers. First, I would make many thin to medium slices and then push them together to get rid of joint spaces. You can use a roller to smooth the pieces out. I wouldn't use the bronze wax on the surface. The bronze and gold leaf should be enough along with the mica powders. For a first tutorial you did great. Don't let the negative comments get you down. We are all learning as we go. We do this to have fun. Some projects turn out great and others not so. Keep going and have fun.
