Preston’s suggestion that Satoshi introduced volatility into the market deliberately is brilliant. Was it intentional? Had to be. The levers could have too easily been pulled to achieve price stability via shortening of difficulty adjustment, and halving, periods. I love this idea.

Also I wanted to add when we talk about the speed of clearance of bitcoin and no other coin is out there that can match it that may be true today but here in the next few months Cardano will have that plus more!! Pomp you know you are familiar with Mr. Charles. Everyone want it to rag on Cardano and Charles but the smart ones and myself and more intelligent folks knew the truth and you are time to build something from the ground up peer reviewed formal methods and with some of the best scientist that we have on earth!!! The are in a dilemma for sure! Support the equity market by fiscal spending but crush the bond market and pensions. Or let equity market correct further closer to a fair value and crush business and pensions. Either way pension funds are screwed!!

George Gurdjieff states that in order for someone to find another mean, as an alternative to a thing (whatever that might be), he or she has to be completely disappointed by the existing thing, whatever that might be, before she or he can start moving, consciously, towards the new direction. The change has to come from within. I'm starting to think that this is the biggest, unconscious, controlled disappointment exercise in the history of humanity, in order to apply the right dose of shocks for people to acknowledge the shortcomings of this financial system. I don't even think that we should consider looking at the nation's debt as something that should be addressed, given the deficit / GDP ratio, but as something bigger than that

Preston Pysh is a guy who seems to not understand basic economics: UBI is just the broken window fallacy with extra steps, in order to finance it you still have to tax those who produce Goods and Services (GN'S) and/or Print money, from here you have a penalty on those who produce GN'S deemed price-usefull by consumers by taxing them and/or devaluating their savings while inflating the price of GN'S for every member of society (another form of tax). At the same time you are financing those whose activities where deemed not price-usefull by consumers. There is a transfer of wealth from those who serve the consumer to those who produce levels the consumer previously rejected just to keep them in business and producing a strong incentive to inactivity because why take a low pay job when you can earn the same by staying home?

Preston, I have videos of you in 2017 where you were getting questions about bitcoin and you were not sure about it, you actually didn’t invest and said you didn’t know enough about it. I used to watch you a lot. What’s this 2014 statement? Come on..

Preston displays a deep misunderstanding of derivatives math and markets which he speaks so confidently about. The trillions he talks of are of notional amounts/face value of the underlying instrument which are never exchanged between counterparties or at risk, the p&l and market to market are calculated on these large amounts, which is the real risk. The ultimate settlement value of these contracts are usually thus a small fraction of the face value. A 6-mth $1bio derivative contract based on a US govt bond will likely have a settlement amount in the $100,000's range not millions. This is a dangerous misunderstanding for someone opining to such a large audience.
