Thanks for bringing up right vs. left-handed in the position. Being left-handed (and 6'3") I think you and I physically have the same kind of position advantages/issues. But it's going to be completely different for a 5'2" female (who may be well-endowed, which is going to change how they stroke the cue) to get reachable position on their next shot. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for bringing that female point to the foreground. My endowment isn't necessarily an issue, but I am 5'3"". That makes the center of the table hard to reach.

Gut feeling would have been to hit the ob from the other side, putting the cb close to the short rail. With the right angle, I don't think any spin is necessary to replicate the path you wanted. No?

Yes, that would have also been a possibility. Depends a bit on how far the object ball is away from the short rail, and also from the pocket. In this example, the object ball is right at the point where I would still play it comfortably, with the cue ball taking the same path around the table. Any closer to the rail, and I wouldn't like it.

Knowing the path is only half of the equation for cue ball control. Leaning the feel of rails,felt and the overall table speed. Each is different and controlling the movement of the cue ball takes time to develop.

You looked comfortable switching hands. Do you use both hands when you play? I have started practicing by playing my left-hand vs my right hand, and it's really opened up my options at matches. I switch hands to give myself an easier shot or leave without even noticing a lot now. My left-hand is an apa 5 or 6 and my right is probably an apa 3 or 4 if I had to guess.

Yes, I often use my other hand instead of taking the bridge. Feeling pretty comfortable most of the times. I worked on using my weak hand, until I was able to occasionally run out racks.

Me personally I would get behind the six ball and drive the cue ball to a diamond on the rail with height top so you can see the shot. I don’t really like shooting in blind area

I have mixed feelings about this video. When we have control of the cue ball, we can execute a follow shot from the opposite side to pocket the nine ball in the top corner. We can do the same positioning the cue ball there, though it's not recommended. However, it remains a viable option. Typically, players aim to position the cue ball in the center of the table, making the path to the nine ball a natural, well-practiced one. We need to use a bit more force to go to the perfect position. Nevertheless, for this specific shot, if we have the cue ball in hand, aiming off one or two rails towards the long nine ball pocket can also be a feasible choice. I love your videos Andre, but you can up those instructional ones to enforce the idea you are talking about. This one is loose.
