Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Loved her, liked the movie…it was just weird enough to be really interesting What ruined it though? Turning her into a hooker and reducing her to sleazy scenes with gross partners. Had no problem with the nudity with Duncan…nothing we haven’t seen before in flicks…but the entire hooker episode was unnecessary and for me, ruined the movie.

And you have to think about how it’s shot out of sequence - that makes her job that much more difficult. She has to dial it up and tone it down without having the luxury of filming this in chronological order. That’s amazing on the director’s part mainly, but even more so on her. Bravo 👏🏻!

I loved their previous work, “The Favourite” - I loved the movie, but not Emma Stone’s performance (it wasn’t bad, she just was outshined by others)… this movie is hers, and she makes this movie. If that makes sense 😋

Let me guess, let me guess! She ends up only pairing w the top 1% of men, and she will consume way more than she will produce. She will get to vote for free without having to serve anyone in any way other than to herself. She will wear super fancy wears changed daily, while her creator wears the same uniform everyday or a slight variation of same uniform. Just another feminist movie. Whole thing looks amazing though.

I can understand were you are coming from due to a lot of over the top feminism in recent movies. But having seen this movie, I think it's much more a humanist than a feminist movie. It's much more a celebration of life. And yeah, there may be some unfriendly (male) characters (like there are in basically every movie), but it is no way man hating.
