That might not help. They are going to use a computer to analyze the videos and if there is anything considered a toy in it will make it a "child's video" and it will flag the channel as "for children" and once the computer program does that it is irreversible. After it is flagged every viewer no matter their age will be considered a "child".

i agree that Jin(sorry i meant jimin not jin but still jin js very hard to do) does'nt look like his true self at all....they(mattel) should have done a better job on his face structure.

I totally agree. And i am a parent.... youtube can never substitute parenting. This who policy is stupid. My husband works in animation... he too was considering sharing his knowledge in animation on youtube.... now that plan has been dropped coz drawing cartoons will be dropped under youtube kids and he will gain nothing.

That's not what this is about. The issue started because on children's content pedophiles were leaving links and timestamps to videos with kids doing things like jumping or doing cartwheels. That's the main reason why content with kids is being unlisted and why kids content will have no comments anymore. Part two of this is that KZfaq has just been sued and lost a case about advertisement towards children. In several countries, there are laws about advertisements directed at kids. You can thank people like Logan Paul for having young fans and ruthlessly trying to advertise to his kid fans. KZfaq HAS to make this adjustment or they will continue to be fined over and over again by several different countries.

This policy wasn't made by "people" or "parents" it was made by KZfaq in their attempt to find a balance between squeezing every bit of money from us and not being fined by governments for their predatory actions. When we're angry, let's make sure to aim that anger in the right direction.

I feel like the last sentence of the disclaimer was the only relevant one. People need to stop holding creators responsible for their parenting job, seriously. KZfaq KIDS EXISTS FOR EXACTLY THIS REASON ALREADY. I'm glad you're doing your best at rising above this but you shouldn't have to, this is absurd.

I think we all need to remember this isnt utubes choice. They have to follow a new law at the beginning of the year. This isnt as much to make up for bad parenting as it is to be compliant with new laws. Yes is scarry cause we dont know whats going to happen but there are always other ways to deal with things. Patron accounts, facebook groups etc. This channel is something we all care alot about and regardless of the outcome we can find a way to be supportive of our dolly artisans.

It's happened on many social platforms already. They specifically state that they're not for minors, in some cases minors even had to lie about their age to create an account and access the content, yet government makes the platforms delete adult content to "protect children from seeing it". Reality is, child inappropriate content is out there, and the only real way to protect them is by supervising their internet use and teaching children what is and isn't safe for them AT HOME. These "legal measures" are just band-aids that do more to harm content creators than to actually protect anyone. Not saying it's specifically youtube's fault, but it's a ridiculous measure.

I think they will have to recognize the difference between your channel and a kids channel. Yours is definitely more about art. In that respect it is not alot different than those who upcycle or remake items found at thrift stores.

seokjinsyaah ! Mattel doesn’t want to do quality. They want to do quantity. It’d be expensive and more complicated to do the dolls like she does. They’d need individuals to carefully craft each individual doll. That’s just the sad truth.

I am so saddened by this. My girls and I love watching this. One is 10 and one is 12. We've been watching for a while. They aren't stupid enough to use chemicals, nor do they have their own income or mode of transportation to buy such toxic chemicals. This is ridiculous. I see nothing wrong, whatsoever, in how these videos are made!

I think the biggest problem for her is KZfaq is planning to auto-flag videos based on certain words/content, so regardless of whether she says she’s an artist or not, she could get flagged as kids content for using monster high dolls or making a doll based on a Disney Princess, etc... which is honestly dumb, because there’s plenty of content based on cartoons or things from childhood that were clearly NEVER meant for kids, and the first time a kid ends up watching like Jon Solo’s Messed Up Origins series or something similar, auto tagging is going to blow up in YT’s faces.

I’m a 28 year old mother of 3 kids, my eldest is a girl and she is 7, her and I religiously wait and watch your shows every week. My daughter has also been told, and is fully aware that she is not allowed to to do her dolls as what you do to yours, BECAUSE you are a professional, and know what you are doing with the proper tools. As long as children are educated on the content they are watching, or their parents start monitoring what their kids are watching, then we wouldn’t be having to hear this. I’m sorry that you have to endure this criticism, but we are behind you 110% ☺️🤘🏼. ❤️❤️

Honestly, more people 13+ watch KZfaq in general more than really young kids. KZfaq doesn’t even know their audience and it shows. While 13 is pretty young, They’re past the point of wanting to watch everything that’s “kid friendly”, and will watch whatever interests them.

this isnt a youtube thing directly. this is government enforcing an old law prior social media that childrens content should be free, ie public broadcasting like tv and radio, but 20 years later tv and radio are phased out so now they want to have the same appeal for digital media...concept great...real life application not so much since the made for kids, safe for kids margin is way different now than it was 20 yrs ago. platforms like youtube are seeing the greatest impact though because so many people monetize from it, that include things that might see child related like dolls, games, kid friendly lingo when run through a bot, when actually isnt because of context. but it would take way too many man hours to screen everything...this is why there should be an age or term limit in all government offices. it should not be a cushy for life job. they make way too much for the condition our country is in. i apologize for the length of this and making it overly political but it affects poppen and so many like her!

Brianna Soto, THANK YOU!! I agree, children now are so soaked into phones and computers, and tablets, etc. that it’s not good for them. When I was a kid, I used to be inside a lot, but I used my imagination to draw and make stuff. I would play outside occasionally, and it’s good for a kid to go outside and play, and just get some fresh air. Kids nowadays aren’t going to experience a fun childhood of all they do is play video games or watch KZfaq

I learnt how to sew doing Barbie clothes as a wee-child, and I still use the glue trick on my fabrics today! I see no reason to change the channel's name (my honest opinion), adults can like dolls too. Most of us don't play with them anymore but we admire the art of giving them a new look... by hand! It is truly a form of art.

@@jessn.2665 I skipped around a bit also. But I like the show. Luckily most seasons run a stand-alone story so its okay to skip a season if you don't like it. Although some characters are brought back in other seasons. Just keep that in mind.

I feel like your channel is about making art, not what the art supplies are. This isn't any more for children than some more traditional art channels, like DrawingWiffWaffles, or Draw with Jazza. It's not that children would hate it, it's just REALLY NOT THE TARGET AUDIENCE! Not all dolls are for children, KZfaq. (also please do use gloves while handling acetone, Poppen. You did say how toxic it was, and your hands are important. :)

It really just dries your skin out, it's mostly ingesting it that's toxic. It's also highly flammable. Acetone is the active ingredient in most nail polish remover. 😊

What's the motivation for the creators that are on KZfaq kids? No monetization? No kids commenting or liking? What's the point of sharing something online if the intent isn't some sort of feedback or interaction? I don't get it. That strategy just seems like suicide for the platform for everyone.

There is a lot of disturbing content targeted at children. I am a mom, i have seen a lot of nightmarish content on youtube kids. Kids should be supervised even when watching youtube kids... parents should take the responsibility of their children.... it's not youtubes responsibility to baby sit everyone's children.

I couldn’t agree more, but what I don’t understand is why KZfaq is making this a creator issue.KZfaq was meant for adults since the beginning but, obviously, kids clicked the “over 13 years old” or whatever it was anyways. How are they going to insure that even if they make a KZfaq Kids that it will remain regulated? Absolute platform suicide.

@@Iexist-hv3og it won't be a separate desktop for creators, it will be KZfaq moving videos to 'departments' so to speak. I got notification they are also creating a fashion section so videos will be moved accordingly. We won't have the option of multiple desktops.

KZfaq has said they will just kill the channels of anyone who repeatedly misidentifies their content. So if you say your channel is not targeted for children and then the bots flag it, you can appeal. But if the bots keep flagging your videos after so many strikes they will just delete you. The only way the KZfaq Kids is successful is if they force all kids content over there, otherwise the creators will prefer the monitized platform and kids will keep using the original platform as they do now because that’s where the talented creators will be.
