As disgusting as this man was and working in a hospital as a non-medical staff, I constantly have to report and request investigations of treatment and neglect. Seriously, am I the only one who reacts to the incompetence of doctors / psychiatrists / justice who do not take Cole's words seriously, when he tells about everything he wants to do and how he does not feel any guilt at all? Especially after every time he gets caught and also in preparation for murder? Or is it me who misunderstands (English is not my native language)? Cole may have been a disgusting human/killer, but the system did little to stop him before too many had died! Ed Cole married my aunt when i was just a young girl.. He lived with us from time to time not knowing he was a serial killer .. He kept my aunt in a closet 2 weeks after he killed her .. He continued to pull her decomposing body out of the closet to rape and eat her.. This was in California .. The humidity is very high and her body decomposed quickly in the heat.. The torture and anguish I endured from the trauma he caused was almost unbearable.. Until recently, I had kept this all buried deep within myself.. However, Ive healed the karmic ties from his darkness and I'm telling my story and About how this affected my life.. How The damage my inner child suffered carried over into adulthood.. I've been doing podcasts and live tv interviews about the effect this has had on me... I pray all the victim's families can find that inner healing and peace within themselves. Blessings to All.. OMG THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I have been scouring youtube for two days now, searching for any information regarding lesser known serial killers.... abductors... pedos...etc.... I was convinced that there was just not anything left for me to learn! So..... immediately I got the feeling that you experience once the end of your favorite shows with like 800 seasons u kno... or like rthe feeling you get when you finish a wonderful book, you kno? Anyways I basically am in love with you now hahah jk jk but yeah.... if anyone knows of ANY men that are similar to josef fritzl, dutroux, castro, etc.... just like super long abductions where the kidnapper constructed actual dungeons, hidden rooms, underground, and what have you..... please help a girl out and lemme know.... the Fritzl case shocked me to my core. Anyways, t!hank you for your channel

I've made an informal study of serial killers over the years, and one thing is almost universal: 98% of serial killers had very sad and messed up childhoods. To address the inevitable comments of "plenty of people have bad childhoods and suffer abuse, but become productive members of society", I obviously know that. But for those who have dark traits/tendencies to begin with and are badly abused... well it's a recipe for a psychopathic killer. Not justifying it by any means but it does factor in.

Assuming they even knew what all he has done. His time was before widespread use of interconnected computer networks. So while his file might have been on a computer somewhere, it would require more manual work to send it. Basically he abused the fact he was hopping all over the state's to cover his tracks

He tried seeking help. For me, and you can't change my mind, he wasn't that much evil as he's pictured. The actual villains are the doctors who failed him and society. He knew he was troubled, ASKED FOR HELP, and was mistreated. He is still a bad guy, don't get me wrong, but IMO he's not as evil as thought. They treated him like some people say to depressed/anxious people "just be happy" or something like it.
