Found your channel last week and have been binge watching this series from the beginning! Finally caught up but a bit bittersweet that I won't have anymore to watch after this one haha! Your militia archers weren't firing due to friendly fire, some mercenary archers have the option to shoot even though there are friendlies there (suggest using it if you're using spearmen or low level infantry against highly armoured troops)

Ahh! Okay, makes sense! Thank you! So the "shoot at will" button overrides them, but causes friendly fire.

@@RappyTappyGaming No no, your militia archers wont fire at all if your spearmen/infantry are in the middle of combat due to it being such a high risk, there's an option for militia archers to do that since they're more experienced. The fire at will is good for closer range (if the enemy is heading towards you but isn't there yet), it just allows your archers to independently fire instead of firing all at once (helps kill enemies quicker). So if you want YOUR archers to attack the enemy, they'll have to flank, or you can hire mercenary archers who can fire into the crowd but that's a little risky.
