Being a bihari is proud for us , we are lucky that we born in state were rituals are followed from heart and we also state top IIT, JEE, UPSC and other competitive exam. Why do we bihari call I as "HUM"? ANSWER:- All languages which are spoken by biharis are derived from sanskrit.It is not Hindi.The languages we use, borrow words from sanskrit(maximum words are from sanskrit in Bhojpuri, Maithili and Magadhi). In sanskrit we call "I" as "Ahum" So the apabhramsha form of this becomes "HUM", and that is what we use it for the word "I".

I did not understand the logic that they showed she was born and brought up in Mumbai and Delhi and still she uses " hum " to address . Generally that doesn't happen if you don't hear it so often . And in Mumbai or Delhi no one talks with so much respect .

Komal really sounded like Alia from badrinath ki dulhaniya, she acted very good tho, but acting of another girl didn't seem realistic anyway. ps-not all biharis talk like 'hum' in convos' and not all biharis are good at math and yes bojhpuri is not the 'ONLY' language in Bihar, there's Methili too. But I loved the video anyway !
