Looks like the aura and tip top make for a fantastic combination. Also love what you with the ring doorbell...good hack to get some playtime in the house...I mean good hack to get some time to save the world 😂

I'm just loving the Aura & T3 combo so much! I swear I get more amazed the more I use it! Glad you liked that ring cam setup. 😂 KFC original chicken, coleslaw, biscuits and their jalapeños are my all time fave all day!!🍗

Well My Brother! Once again this proves that the weber kettle is really all anyone needs to produce very good bbq. The addition of the Aura system and Tip Top temp control just makes it even better. Will I be running out and buying these......no. But I can see them benefiting others looking to up their kettle game. Loved the addition of the grilled onion slices and pickled jalapeño. 👍 Metal On! 🍺 \🔥/

My friend, another awesome cook. I still have yet to make a pork butt on the WSM. Maybe soon. God Bless! BTW, I have never heard of the Tip Top gizmo.

Tip Top Temp is pretty cool. You just put it over your damper, set the dial with the chart based on the outside temperature and the TTT will keep your temperature consistent so it won't spike too hot. It works with a bimetal coil that closes the flap as it gets hot. I love it.

Hi Stephen, thank you for watching my video. The Tip Top Temp is quite easy to set up. There is a PDF guide that you download that gives you all the details as to where to set the knob. It's quite simple. Just find out what the temperature is outside ,as in the weather temperature and what temperature you'd like to cook at and check the guide/chart and it will tell you where to set the knob. In the video below I show how the #3 on the knob was set because the ambient temp was 60°Fahrenheit and my Cooking temp I wanted was 225°Fahrenheit so those two numbers crossed at the 3. One full chimney of unlit and about 20 lit briquettes should be enough to smoke that butt and still have plenty left! Glad to hear the great results!! 😎👍

Very cool. I have looked at the Aura but was concerned about adding charcoal mid cook. Looks like that's probably not an issue on most cooks. 5.5 hrs seems pretty quick for a butt that size? Do you think that you are getting some heat off the stone and drip pan and that's speeding things up?

Great questions Sparky! So 6.5 lbs isn't that big but 5.5 hours to target temperatures is freakn quick! Especially since the temps were hanging around 250/270, so 260 average. Even after adding foil I left the temp as is. There's a link below for you read about pork butts if you're interested. Anyways, as you were questioning, yes I do believe the stone is contributing to the efficiency and I first saw that in my Sparerib video. Normally spares would take 4hrs minimum and with the Aura it took 3. That's baby-back ribs territory! I didn't say this in the video, but that butt was my all time best butt ever! As tender and juicy as a 12hr low&slow butt! I also believe that putting it in a drip pan actually helped as well. @@madswinebbq Awesome, thanks. I will check out the shoulder link and your rib video. I normally do butts on my kettle with all coals banked to one side and a water pan underneath. I thought I was done buying accessories for my kettle, but might have to put the Aura on my wish list.
