Wie wohltuend, ohne überflüssiges Gequatsche nach einer kurzen Einführung gleich in medias res, mit der gebotenen Nüchternheit die Schwachstellen verständlich erklärt. Bitte weiter so. Einzige nachträgliche Bitte: Die Bilder länger stehen lassen, damit man auch alles mitbekommt.

Sehr interessant! Ich kenn mich etwas mit Käfermotoren aus, aber dieses Maschinchen ist ganz was anderes.

@Olivier Lo Dear Mr Olivier Lo, Thank you for your interest. We are happy to pass on our specialist knowledge of Carrera engines to you. We can also repair the engine. Is it an early 692/0 engine with a roller bearing crankshaft? Depending on how the motor is to be used, extensive advice is required in advance. Because the Type 692/0 engine has some design features that should be adjusted depending on the intended use. Can you post a video of that unique generator pulley/ mounting nut i believe it mounts to the pulley hub ..but how does it stay on the generator..its not like the earlier versions in which the nut holds the generator and pulley together...

Good day, The alternator pulley for engine types 578 /1 /2 and 692 /3 and /3A is fastened with nut no. 54709303 The nut presses the belt pulley onto the alternator hub. Fastening by pressing/static friction. Unfortunately I don't have a late 4-cam engine here at the moment. So I can't make a video. I hope I could help.

Yes, a ruptured connecting rod. A common cause of damage to 356 Carrera engines is when the mechanic does not understand the engine.
