You have every single right to complain. You probably worked hard to save up for this car, and you deserve a working one. If a car doesn't work like it should, you should be able to get your money back.

Even after Porsche resolved these issues, I think the damage is done. I have owned 5 (Five) Porsches and after watching this video, I am going to think long and hard before buying another one. I do not care how successful a car company Porsche is. If it stops caring about its customers, I will not be one.

When I was a child growing up I spent a lot of time in the hospital for health related issues. I had some of the best doctors in the world who also drove Porches. I grew so close with my doctors through the years that they used to take me for drives when I was stable enough to leave the hospital for an hour or so. Those were some of the best moments of my life racing down the back roads where the only on lookers were cows and other various farm animals! These moments helped drive a deep desire and respect for Porsche. A little bit of my childhood died with this video. Good luck!

Threatening your customer is NO WAY to treat a loyal individual to your brand. These type of problems shouldn't happen with a car of this high a value. This had to be a fluke out of 10,000's of cars. The question is, how come Porsche or the dealers didn't find out about it before they had it up for sale? I am so glad Porsche is giving him a new car but only AFTER Jalopnik and other media showed interest in the story.

Wow, just wow. The issues that he's had are bad enough in any car but this thing cost what, $120k? (Just guessing) And then they have the nerve to jerk him around? Here's what Porsche should do before he sues them. Offer to replace the car with a brand new one and give him $5,000 back for the unacceptable inconveniences experienced. Anything short of that is a joke. Smoke and water coming inside a $100k+ car? Are you kidding me? I used to dream of owning one of these (even though they charge ridiculous prices on their options.) But knowing this is how Porsche NA treats their customers I think I'll pass. Thank you for posting this and saving me the time and money.

I had a 2016 Camaro SS that had only a couple things wrong with it, but it annoyed me and I ditched it, got a boxster 718S but missed the V8 drama and back into a SS 1LE. Oh wow. I've always been a Porsche fan. I mostly like the old ones though. Having said that, I've never had any problems like this with my Miatas... new or old. Nor my Toyota truck (even though Toyota is in the hot seat right now). I'd be mortified if I saved for 5 years to buy a dream car and this happens.

I've owned 2 Audi A4's and they both have displayed the same problems/flaws with materials in the interior of the car. One time I was at the Audi dealer getting my car serviced and a lady pulls up with a Porsche Boxter, brand new. She can't close the trunk in the front. Somehow it got misaligned and it wouldn't close. Great job at exposing the truth.

Nick, sorry to hear you’ve gone through such despair over your 911. I was looking into taking delivery of one this week but not after watching this series of videos. I haven’t watched the outcome after this video but this reminds of an Audi I once had with just as many issues. I feel like I was watching a reenactment of an experience I had with Audi. I hope other Automakers but mainly Porsche NA view your video and truly see the error of their ways. You started as an advocate of the brand with your experience and feedback to ending up in all out frustration caused by defects and your experience with the manufacturer. I find it disgusting to say the least that you’ve gone through all you have and hope in the end you walked away with what you deemed acceptable. Good luck and take care!

I don't get it. Germans, arguably the best engineers in the world, all end up with the same design flaws in all of their autos: electricity doesn't understand their wiring. Me and a few car buds have some theories. 1. Either there's some weird electromagnetic anomaly beneath Germany, ala something like in Lost, where some WWII dustfahrter pushes a button every hour to save the world which coincidentally effects German cars. 2. Germany is secretly hoarding vast troves of high quality wiring to turn the Earth into a spaceship which they plan to conquer the universe with and using the low grade stuff in their cars. 3. German manufacturers are using terribly low grade solder and thin gauge wiring to save money and we're catching them in the process of looking for the ideal ratio of skimping so that the car fails immediately after the warranty expires. I'm a logical man, so I'm going with number 2.

My first and only EVER car break down and tow was in a Porsche. This was DAY TWO with car. Later the headlight washer cover fell off. Then the knob for the hand brake kept falling out. Then the seat memory stopped working sometimes. SMH
