I just ordered a Panamera 4E hybrid from Porsche Center Stockholm and the sales guy allowed me to test drive a 911 Carrera4 yesterday. I still cant get over the excitement of driving it and Id love to own a 911 GTS one day!

Janko, I watched this video quite awhile ago, but did not leave a comment. However, I watched it again today and thought I’d give you my experienced thoughts. I’ve been driving a Porsche as my daily driver for more than 40 years and have always owned base-model cars. As a side note, I raced motorcycles for fifteen years and tracked Porsches for eight years. For everyday driving, there’s just nothing better than the base model Carrera, particularly from a cost standpoint i.e. insurance, maintenance, fuel mileage, and overall vehicle cost. Of course, there’s always the “want” versus “need” issue. Some folks just have to show others how cool/we’ll-heeled they are by driving the more expensive model but, as you pointed out, it truly doesn’t get you “more!” On the track, it’s a different issue..........more power always! But, on the street and back roads, I can stay with most guys driving GT cars. Now, of course, I have racing experience, so that helps a bit.The advantage of the base model car is that you can push it hard and stay well within your driving limits and absolutely have more “fun” than trying to tame down a car that may be beyond your driving skills. I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. Anyway..........just an opinion from a old guy, but experienced driver! Keep up the great work on your videos..........hands down, my absolute favorite and best KZfaq auto channel, particularly about Porsche. Nothing Even Comes Close!

what do you recommend 911 the basic model or 911s.. I just like the look of the basic model .. I dont like extra power.. I like to feel the pleasure not being crazy.. and what is the ideal options to have for a daily use car (in Roma) I prefer manual gear box too .. I like to have the panoramic roof .. its quite nice and the 4 exhaust system nit this tow in the middle in the of the car it looks like the wv beetel 60"s style. can you tell me please. thanks

Love you passion, it is infectious! I am looking to trade my base 991.1 pdk to either a 2015 991.1 manual GTS or 2017 manual base 991.2 then do an ECU tune. You can't go wrong with either car, but after watching this video I think I will go with the base 991.2 with a tune. I don't want the car too fast if that makes sense. Still want to wind it out on the road and track. Almost 500 HP with a tune and 440 lb-ft of torgue from another video from Auto Amateur so still really fast, but not turbo fast. That makes the base 991.2 the best value I think. This video was extremely helpful, much respect!!!
