This is the third video of my ownership video series!
It's been exactly one year since I picked up my GT3 from Giltrap Porsche last March. It's such an incredible sportscar both on the race track as well on backroads. Join me in this video where I share with you my ownership experiences, and some of the things I like and dislike about my Porsche 911 GT3 (992.1).

Don't worry about oil level being too low leading to oil starvation as there is a warning indicator which comes on to tell you to add oil. That issue has been addressed on day one as all 911s comes with dry sump lubrication engines that prevents oil starvation since the separate oil tank reservoir holds the oil (at least 9 qts of 13 qts for entire system). In fact the measurement is done with the car on level ground with engine idling and it is warned not to overfill as that could lead to engine damage !
@sundaymorningdrives
@sundaymorningdrives Ай бұрын
Yup, correct, I am just saying that the owners need to be mindful of this, and always be aware of the warning light on the dash. In fact, I just had the low level oil light pop up last week, and I added 500ml of engine oil.

not sure if porsche will do this but for helper spring noise you can add bearings between the springs to avoid binding on the helper spring. there are also teflon “washers” that can be used instead of the bearings. they perform the same job of limiting binding between the springs. not an uncommon part to use on high performance dampers.

Great video, I've been looking forward to this one! A very honest appraisal, (very minor) warts and all. I bet that zing/rattle drives you mad but I think it's pretty cool! Only a car with helper springs and rollcage is going to do that!!! Haha! That must make that the coolest rattle ever ;) Just looking at how good this car looks, knowing how amazing it sounds and believing what I've read about it's handling, this is about as good as it gets. Make sure those niggles don't degrade the joy of owning this car. I don't even like black cars abut this one....
@sundaymorningdrives

Haha, thanks Sam! Hopefully the dealership will be able to sort out that rattle, but seems like it's a common issue with helper springs. I've had mine a year now and agree with many of your points. 15k km daily driving. I'm on 18 way seats and wish they had memory position. The space between the door and seat is a bit narrow to fiddle every time so I'm not scuffing the leather. My minor gripe other than the lack of memory seats is the fact it throws a lot of stones at itself. Ppf is a must. Service isn't bad, but tires are at times hard to come by and can be expensive as they are n0 spec. One nail or plug can ruin your day. It's been reliable in heat and
