Mr Rain the 720s with absolutely perfect conditions can do 10 flat or even 9.8,9.9. 10.1 is probably already the best out of the 911, but in general the 720s is closer to 10.5 while the 911 will do 10.2 almost everywhere.

Whereas a Corvette for example has been totally redesigned every generation. Side by side a Porsche still looks like a Porsche from 30 years ago. Corvette today looks nothing like a Corvette 30 years ago. Other cars have to go back to the drawing board to keep up with Porsche. Porsche just keeps refining them.
