You know what pisses me off? Why wasn't THIS in the Goodwood celebration going up the hill this year? Instead it was mostly 911s. No love for the 914, 924, 944, 928, etc. even though each can be seen all over at track days around we world.

So it’s a display of mostly flagship models from every manufacturer, but there’s no denying the political components in the decisions made on what’s cars to display at a show like GW.

this car to me looks more like a 924 GTP instead of GTR, the "Boss" sticker was on a GTP as well as the tear-off edge at the rear right and left is different

They were a limited production and had a 2.0 liter experimental engine that was a limited produced. It was fuel injected and turbocharged and had 600hp. My pop restored one that was the sister car for the 81 LeMans. We had to rush getting it ready for the SCCA Monterrey event that was headlining Porsche for Ferdinand's would be 100th birthday. I believe it was 97 or 98. One of the drivers of the cars autographed the door of the car. And he was impressed by the details and it was like being back in 81. My dad had one and then the other one is in the museum in Germany.

It produced 410 bhp www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/164071/index.html?no_cache=1#HISTORY I found the information that is related to the 924 gtp that I was talking about. It's been close to 25 years since I was involved with the project.

@@Tumbleweed-vh4pt Sorry but you're completely wrong. The car in your link was a so called "944" GTP with a 2.5 L 16V engine. The car in the video is the Paul Singer 924 GTR. An original homologated GTR with 2L Engine. I know this car very well and were next to it in the box during the OGP. Porsche delivered it in the early 80s on customer orders. This car has even nothing to do with the 1980 924 GTP which was before a hologation was gained for the later GTRs. francis ist right about max. 375 HP due to boost pressure. If your dad is Tom Tatalovich, ask him! This car is now at Freisinger's garage in Karlsruhe
