Sam: Even If your girlfriend is camera shy - that's her her right to be - I think it could add breadth to your videos if, only sometimes, off camera, whilst in the car, she could add thoughts and comments on the beauty of the places visited / the friendliness of the people met, etc. etc.

Hope you get the drone fixed soon. Great video though. But i do hope that you will do more then just Porches when you are on the trip. Should try to get some local made cars when you are there. Like Holdens and the Ford models that are specific to Australia. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Sam, From a local - whilst in Sydney check out the "Classic Throttle Shop". Housed in two of the bays within the Northern end of the harbour bridge, they specialise in obvious classic, but also modern classic luxury sports and GT cars. Its not only the cars but the atmosphere of the place is worth the visit alone. You can even take the ferry from the city (circular quay) across the harbour and walk up the hill next to the bridge.

Great video. I remember when you could buy the Carrera GT quite cheaply after the 944 was released but then my PCGB membership number was 357.. At the time, I couldn't bring myself to part with my '79 GP White SC with factory whale tail and tartan / tan interior.

Only 75 made in RHD......and my old one is in OZ now too. SLD933W, black and owned by me on 3 separate occasions. Only 210bhp but it feels like much more. Still a very nice car to drive, feels much more than the sum of its parts. Silly money now, every time I sold mine it was 10k around 15 years ago. 80k now.

Morning is the best time of day here in aus especially the beach.... :-) If you would like to see a similar level of even rarer Ferrari's it can be arranged in a Melbourne workshop. Melbourne is pretty much motorsport capital for Aus. But your right we don't have the depth of experience or volume of authority compared to the UK.

8 had this car in a 1982 version and it was just a 924 but the turbo version the 944 I always wanted.

They made just over 400 total production 924 Carrera GTs. The lovely metallic red 911 Targa in shot is finished in Garnet Red. Ask me another!

To correct you, the "orange" classic 911 is not orange but SIGNAL YELLOW or "signal gelb" in German. Colorcode 114.
