2 ай бұрынReplacing the engine mounts is a doable DIY job. It is a tight fit on the left side but can be done if you take your time. You are going to supporting the weight if the engine so use care.
Project Time: 4 hrs
Tab: $
Tools: Engine support, 18mm. 16mm shallow socket, lots of extensions, universal joint
Parts Required: Engine mounts, hardware
Performance Gain: Eliminate engine vibrations
Complementary Modification: Change the engine air filter

Great video! Did you have to lift the motor in order to get the new mounts installed? If so, how do you recommend doing that?

Yes, slightly lift it.

Is it the same for both sides? Also can you use the Touareg engine points instead of the Porsche ones?
