Next step I'm removing the transmission on the parts Porsche. I am not intending on using it on the good car but I still want to make sure I don't break anything just in case I need it.
The driver's side driveshaft was removed by the previous owner as was the bumper and re-bar saving me some time and energy.
In this part I remove the transmission mounts, left drive shaft, clutch slave cylinder, shifter cables, a whole bunch of nuts and bolts, unplug the reverse switch, support the engine with the custom make steel plate that I bolted onto the sub-frame.
I did this by using a used motorcycle jack which worked really well however I should have strapped down the transmission with a ratchet strap but for some reason I didn't.
I have a picture with the dimensions for the engine support plate, maybe one of you can explain how I can put it on here.
