Enrico Fontana Alastair James Smith lol guys that happens if you shift really quickly. Of course with a regular engine the throttle isn't that sensitive and it won't rev up like that with that little input. Different story in the GT3.

It's not that it's so sensitive, it is that you're getting on to the accelerator before you have re-engaged the clutch fully. I've driven the 4 litre RS and i have a 964 RS, both with the light weight flywheel and solid clutch. Timing is everything! If you went into the ECU and checked the over revs on this there would be hundreds if driven like this all the time!

Alastair James Smith No trust me I am not getting on the accelerator too early. I am getting off too slow. I push in the clutch very quickly and let go of the throttle at the same time. But I still have some throttle input while coming off and that kicks the revs in the red for a moment. So got another problem there lol.

Kaipeternicolas deshalb gibts ja nen drehzahlbegrenzer ;) is mir in nem m3 (nich der ganz neue sondern der v8) auch passiert der is da eifach besser als nen gti mit der gasannahme :D aber schlimm is des ja nun wirklich nich klingt nur scheiße ;P

davide dehren Nein. Aber ein kleiner Gasstoss kommt trotzdem durch wenn man so schnell kuppelt.

Wenn man nur 1 cm noch auf dem Gas steht wenn man schon am Kuppeln ist passiert das schon, da das der Motor unglaublich schnell hochdreht. In einem GOLF ist das natürlich nicht der Fall.

the gt3 has pdk now. the only manual car like this anymore is the 911r, but it has no aero.

Bo Huggabee yup, the new gt3 rs is double clutch, but this 996 is what i like, i dont know but for me porsche is best with manual gear box, it's a drivers car. You know what i mean

you can the 997's quite affordably now, i mean they are still expensive, but i got a 2007 997 c2 for 38k. nothing compared to a gt3 rs of course. but still amazing, and just plain traditional.

I know. I was 20 at the time and while I was a pretty good driver, I still had a lot to learn. HOWEVER, what you don't know probably is that the RS 4.0 has a super light fly wheel, which means that even half a cm of throttle will cause the engine to rev up like that. Watch other GT3 RS 4.0 videos and you will see that lots of people have this shifting issue. I remember watching Salomondrin the other day and noticed him doing the same thing. It's just not your average transmission and it's hard to shift really quickly with lifting your foot 100% off the throttle before pushing down that super heavy clutch. It costs a lot of time.

Kaipeternicolas I know because I own the RS 3.8 - but then still, if you are not familiar with that, you should handle such cars like 4.0 with more care. The only thing which cars like a RS 4.0 asks you for is respect...
