Great job, Mike. Glad it wasn’t a more serious problem. I did all the major service on mine recently - that air filter replacement is unreal.

The scanner is called icarsoft. Got it from Ebay, $150. Comes with Porsche specific functions pre programmed. As for the garage lights, just 4ft fluorescents. Thanks for Watching!

I don't believe that was the problem. In my experience, in order to set a code for a problem like that(a pipe not proper seated, letting unfiltered air in), the engine has to in some way measure or calculate the air mass before and after the throttle. As you said yourself, this engine does not have a MAF which would have given the engine that measurement "before" the air passes throttle body. That would give the engine management the opportunity to compare the airmass it knows it has "after" the throttle body with the airmass "before" the throttle. I believe something else set off this code you got.

there is no vacuum before throttle plate.

That definitely wasn’t the problem. There’s no sensors measuring air volume before the throttle body. Must be something else.

To get to air filter box remove the 4 bumper screws on top it’s for more screws on the bottom and 3 on the side wall wheel cover then remove bumper you will have clear access to air filter box do not for get to reconnect your home link when Porsching it back together

Ty for the video. Question..mine just started to make a whistling noise and popped this code. The noise is coming somehwere from behind the engine.. any experience there?

@@mikeshorsepowergarage7577 got an update! my pcv valve took a dump but i think it failed way before i noticed so a bunch of oil got into my intake manifold hence the heavy white smoke

That wouldn’t be the issue if it doesnt have a mass airflow sensor

I have a same vehicle same symptoms. I did replace that sensor but engine light is still on. P0069(1 / 2) Stored MAP - Barometric Pressure Correlation anyone know what is this sensor and where it’s located please let me know.

It's right next to the throttle body.

Great video mike. Learned a lot. I have 2012 and getting P0068. Cleaned throttle body but still getting the code. Would you know the part no. for MAP sensor? What I picked up online does not seem to fit. Appreciate any help.
