Two GT2s came before it, but the 997 GT2 from 2008 would turn out to be the last before Porsche started building GT2 RS models in 2011 and 2018-19. Unlike the GT2 RS, the GT2 was a celebration speed, power, and analog driving controls - including a six-speed manual transmission - in a narrower body. With 530 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque, the GT2 was capable of slipping to 204 miles per hour and doing the zero-to-60-mph run in 3.6 seconds. Today Vu is reviewing one.
