Your videos are so wonderful. My family loves them because we will probably never travel to Europe. Funny, we have one of the best Ice Cream shops in Sandpoint, Idaho USA. The locals make fun of the tourist walking around downtown eating ice cream. The line is always out the door. I noticed that Post Isaac has an ice cream shop. Take care and think you for your wonderful videos. I think I will do a clip on our Ice Cream shop for fun.

I grew up in Europe and at 9 years old came to United States. Yes, from my childhood I have beautiful memories of various European counties we visited. Nevertheless, I love America because of its size and ethnic diversity. I’m still nowhere near visiting all the states. Thank you for these walks Europe is just as amazing and beautiful!!

8:13 • "The village has some of the narrowest streets in the UK". My theory is that Herbert Austin used to holiday here with his family, consequently he designed the Austin 7 (1923 -1939) to fit around the corners easily.

Thank you for this excellent tour of the village. My wife and I and my dad were there in 2009, my grandfather was a Port Isaac fisherman before migrating to Canada. I have many cousins and other relations in this area. I recognize every street, I had to negotiate those narrow lanes with a Renault Espace SUV, a tight fit. We hope to go back before long.

In my mid teens I stayed in one of the little cottages approx behind where you start your walk, with my first proper boyfriend. @medwayhospitalprotest
@medwayhospitalprotest Жыл бұрын
@@LivingWalks yes it did! The cottage had a very small, old-fashioned kitchen. Neither of us could really cook so it was a case of warming things up that we bought at the local shops. I remember my boyfriend buying a jar of Heinz "Sandwich Filler" which was something we didn't ever have at our house. Of course I also remember the romantic side of it. Two teenagers alone in a lovely cottage, doing what is natural I guess. 😁 The other thing I remember is a car getting stuck in the bay when the tide came in. I imagine that happens quite regularly. 😂

Hi there Paul, we live in Leigh on sea where the tide goes right out, we do love walking out miles on the mud in the summer but ha ha, I know it's not for everyone, thankfully it rains very little there being the driest place in the country so we don't experience too many cloudy skies, we still love the sun as you say though!

On the TV show it is hard to believe Port Wenn is in England. Not a cloud in the sky for most scenes, unlike scenes in this video. That's more like it. Some shots even include palm trees which can't possible grow in England. Or maybe they do.

Hey Chuck - believe it or not, the South of England does get warm enough for palm trees! Yes, I guess they do all their outdoor filming in summer...

Port Issac is just down the road from me when you went up church hill Ive come through there in 3 different Land Rovers and they only just fit! I knocked a mirror and scraped a wheel....I could be a bad driver but 3 of the Land Rovers Ive owned have all been damaged by Port Isaac, lol I've also had a local lad take offence at me when I stayed at the Boathouse over the shop flat, we booked a week there before we moved down here but Ive been coming down here for 20yrs, I walked into the Golden Lion and stuck a 3g wifi dongle at the window and perched on the end of the bar with a tablet and a weird fish fisherman jumper (big mistake) so I looked like a fake local, the next guy came in with his wife and said 'A Pint of your finest local ale land lady please" and then said "we are looking to go to RHS Rosemore do you know where that is?" The girly behind the bar went white like she had never been out the village "its my first day" I just said "get on the a39 to barnstable/bideford turn right at the roundabout marked Atlantic.........I had a "Thank you fine sir" and carried on my work stuff OMG can you wind a local up by that! so 2 hours later I stood on the balcony at the boathouse and I get local boy blooted from the pub decides to assume Im the out of town owner of the building so verbals me for buying up all the houses in "his" village, I offer to drop a tinny down to him but he has got it in his head I'm a twat ,now as far I'm aware I don't own the Boathouse flat a fisherman friend does and you would think a local would know. Now I understand I paid a fisherman friend more than the lad pays his rent a month for one week of stay there and I put about another 1500 quid myself into villages economy on food and trinkets. this is not a negative story of port Isaac, Im just saying. great video Thank you

My Uncle said that the Cornish soldiers who invaded Cyprus Greece in the 1950s committed awful atrocities. My Aunty said that the Scotchmen committed awful atrocities. My Cousins said that the Englishmen, Welshmen and Irish royalists committed awful atrocities. My father said that the British are all from the same arsehole. Love and respect to Northern Ireland. @@user-kv1kj9pn8p Put this in your morning tea. Mate. In 1950s when the Cornish & Scottish terrorists invaded and looted our homes and land in Cyprus Greece and murdered my family. My father would poison the Greek food in the restaurant for the Scots Guards and other British Crown soldiers who were naïve enough to come into town. My father's mates told me that the Cornish, Scottish-British terrorists got a real taste from Cyprus Greece.😀😄😉 The British had to eventually stay out of Cyprus towns and import their food from Britain. Because so many British soldiers got food poison or died. 😆😅🤣😂 And Greece is among the few nations - and the only EU member state - not to have been officially visited by the Queen. And It gives me immense pleasure to announce that, indeed.

The British were no longer able to operate in the area too after 5 Commando Royal Marines were killed in a local Bar fight. Britain will never be on the right side history. As they say A Dog's Tale can never be straightened. This Comment is not up for Debate?! The British must return the loot from their brutal colonial past. And leave Cyprus. We have a legal right to resist our occupier. You British have to just suck it up. You are rather diminutive, diminished and degraded politicians and people. Cornwall is a magical place but it is too seductive for its own good ,constantly under threat from the crush of the outside world on a once settled society.The old rythms disrupted by new technologies that have now place at all ,many period cottages have been completely ruined by by pvc ,over developement and botch .Once a remote far away place has gone forever ,even the A30 is begining to look like spaghetti junction .RIP CORNWALL..
