Pompy are back baby with last min winners. At this stage I couldn't give a monkeys if that penalty was right or wrong, I will take that goal and three points any day of the week. Two wins in a row and two clean sheets. A corner turned? To be fair, the wins against Fleetwood and Port Vale showed that an additional attacking player could prove a vital difference in the remaining days of the transfer window. Five goals in six games is not a recipe for automatic promotion.

Was dreading Bishop missing another penalty but much better overall. However for the thousandth time this season, JM has got to get these players practicing finishing because we still waste so many chances. Need to sign someone who can put the ball in the net, it used to be Bishop but he seems to have stagnated a bit. JM has simply got to get a hold of these players and get them scoring. Maybe we need to appoint a specialist finishing coach to take the players for a day or 2's finishing a week. Some of these players haven't managed a goal in months or even years. That needs to change!

Oh Tom, we looked toothless! We could have played another six hours on the pitch and we were never going to get a goal in open play. Who's going to score the goals? Kamara went down because it was the only way to get the ball into the back of the net, and it is only because no one is willing to step up. No one on the pitch thinks they are going to score - every single one of them thinks they can pass to someone *else* who will score and no one scores! To be fair to me, isn't this what I have been saying all season? Name one moment where a full-blooded shot was brilliantly saved. The shots were like back passes and their keeper had nothing to do except for one great stop, but on a ball going 1 mile per hour into the corner from a header. We desperately need someone who can nail it into the net from fifteen yards. Even the new boy scuffed it like a back pass! Who is going to fundamentally going to actually score? Bishop can't buy a goal with his blood at the moment. Kamara takes eight touches too many. Pack doesn't connect any more - where's it going to come from? Don't get me wrong - Pompey were all over them today - out-played them left and right. Thrashed them six kinds of Wednesday, but WHO IS GOING TO SCORE THE GOALS? Does Mous realise? *Sigh*

The average number of points needed to go up in 2nd place over the last 11 seasons has been 87 points ....Pompey currently have 59 points from 29 matches played and there are 51 points available from the remaining 17 games left this season...Lowest amount needed to secure 2nd place was 2013 with 80 points...Highest amount needed to secure 2nd place was 2023 with 97 points...so based on the above Pompey need about 28/51 points available to reach the average final points tally of 87 to get promoted...Looking at their remaining fixtures and the performance of MPH today and with 2 x more signings of a striker and centre back I think we will do it !!! If we get 35 more points I think we'll do it👍🟣PUP
