I luv the Porta Bote easy transport, easy fit 2-3 People and gear but yes it will get you puffing and sweating when setting up. Most of the consuming time is sharing with onlookers . Great video this is exactly what happens durring the routine. The best part and reward is the Lake to yourself with a few others.

This set beats my Bris 10ft with aluminum floors..nice stable boat but takes a lot of sweating to set up in a Florida July day..about 30 minutes easily..i am going to het the Portabote 10..no worries about air leaks with oystershells either

a little foot ladder would be a great idea... I'd have and need one. so much easier .

Thinking about buying one on eb for our 30' sailboat. Isn't there supposed to be a piece at the bow?

SV Hidden Hand there is a peice for the bow, i have it but don't use it, it doesn't attach well and seems pretty pointless, it adds no strength and wouldn't really stop water. had no problem without it.

I know this videos is 4 years ago but I just bought a used one. What battery did you use and what trolling motor you use?

A 40a/h lithium in a battery box and a mim cota fresh water, this compination on 25% (pulsed power) will go about 3 knots for longer than I could sit in the boat, I did 2.5 hours once, still had plenty left, I think 4 or 5 hours. 100% maybe 6 knots for 30 mins or so. It's a long time since Ive had it in the water as really can only do it abroad, not so easy in UK.

giladhalevy I got used to it, plus I left it for a few days here. I think the convenience of being able to transport it is worth it. but, it really would have been cheaper and easier just to hire boats wherever I went, most places had them. still like the boat though.

giladhalevy a lot of People seem to disagree with you. millions have been sold for the last probably ohhh 30 years+ around the world. I've had several boats, from big bay-cruisers to inflatable canoes to yer, 2 of these! I sold the first one and regretted it so much that 7 years later bought a new one., he does make it look a little more difficult than it is to assemble but I bet with more experience he's faster! They do attract a fair bit of attention when setting up, nice way to meet folk. Like knitting, I suppose. I had a peek at your profile....whatever floats yer bote....!!!!!

Sorry giladhalevy crochet baby hat/crochet beanie- not knitting. That would be a pain in the butt to do and set up. Unlike crochet baby hat/crochet beanie which seems much more entertaining......
