yes, the fan starts as soon as you turn on the unit and it will not shut off. This is what you want. It must turn on immediately and stay on the entire time the thermal electric unit is active.

I had a wine cooler, that had a 70 Watt peltier, that after running for a week, actually froze the wine! It was more or less something I was just playing with, I now that that in storage. When I build my next PC, I will build it Inside the Wine Fridge. The additional cooling will be very nice when I'm rendering. Yes, I can draw 12v without depleting. When the 12v gets low, the HV Pack kicks in to top off the 12v I got rid of the 100lbs 120Ah deep cycle in the trailer, replaced it with a 15lbs 20Ah one in the rear. I want it to have some independent power, so I got a lot of weight savings, and it was able to run the trailers lights for about 4 straight days. Or the circulation and exhaust fan from the interior for 2 days. I will be working on a attachment to recharge that 12v battery from the car. I have a Automatic charger to recharge the trailer battery whenever it is plugged intot he 120v source.

12v only. You can get a adapter (I have one) that allows you go plug into a 120v (or 240 for non USA) socket. Thats what I did when camping. Had it plugged in in the car, and when we were camping had it plugged into the 120v with the 120v to 12v DC adapter.

Oh, I'd say it will keep your beverages cool where they will still taste good, for 4-5 hours if kept in the shade. Maybe longer. if you put them in cold, it will help the cooler keep it cold/colder. It is low power, so even a few deep cycle batteries could keep it running for a week or longer without recharge. You could recharge batteries off your vehicle.

Apparently, my mother has a built in one of these in her lincoln. It actually does have a Freezer mode, tried it on a few pints of ice cream. 8 hours and it was still frozen!

+KmanAuto all my instructions were in Chinese so I don't know how to do anything but plug it in and turn it on. is there a way to adjust the temperature like you do on your fridge? Because I just had some bottled water I took straight out of the fridge and put it in the cooler and tried it for the first time. The water was in the cooler for well over 4 hours and the water wasn't as cold as it was when I took it out the fridge. if there is a way to adjust the temperature control that would be fantastic!

Not at this price level. That adjustable one was Lincoln designed and installed in her car. You could operate it at a higher voltage. Or replace the thermometric heat pump with a higher wattage one. They are actually very cheap.

can you be a little more specific?I know it's designed for 12, I'd have to look up to see if it's capable for up to 24 V. personally, I'd say just get yourself a cheap five dollar adjustable voltage regulator from China, can be found on eBay, and I think your best has them too, and regulate the voltage down to approximately 13 or 14 V to be on the safe side
