I’ve had one of those fire pits for the last 18 months, I love it. Every time we go out we use it and I’m now on the second mesh, which you can buy separate from the fire pit on e bay. It’s a big thumbs up for me 👍🏻

How "long" does the mesh last for ?? Does it burn out or just crumble ?? Is it temperature based use or fire time use - if you know what I mean

I often go camping when it's below freezing at night. I can really see this putting out radiant heat out and down and all round. I can see it warming the feet and shins, not just the upper body. I can also see it working beautifully in the snow or on a frozen lake!

Thumbs up , reading all good comments here of people and people who have one, so i best take it its a good bit of kit , great raised off the ground , but it must be just me that dosen't like the "look" of it , just looks to open to me in, a breeze i could imagine embers and ash blowing all over the place due to lack of sides , like i say just me as a few people say they are great Best regards .

Awesome bit of kit. Great for showing the kids how to start a fire safely and just fun to be able to have a small fire in the garden without it burning any grass. Also great for normal camping even if they are ok with you making fires on the floor.

Had one of these from when they first appeared and love it. You can stack a lot of more wood on it than you did and the ash doesn't fall through the holes. If you get a big fire going though on grass you will kill the grass underneath it due to the heat.

I have a small metal plate that fits under the mesh, just big enough to do one piece at a time 🤤 I also love that it will burn ur wood completely. It's an awesome little pit 😁 it burns really hot, I've had about 10 fires in mine so far and no signs of wear yet.

In Texas with the almost yearly burn bans I don't think I need it, but if I was in a wooded area where the threat of hurting old growth tree roots can be a problem and its wet enough that forest fires and grass fires aren't an issue that looks great.

Eh up Dan. I've seen these on eBay. Pretty cool. Raised? I made a pit out of an old biscuit tin some years back, it were alright until the fire burnt through and the mrs went ape over 'her' patio. I finally built a brick and grill barbecue which she was happy about. Oh sorry Mr. Sado but i like Dan's videos, if you don't like 'em you don't have to watch or spoil the enjoyment of others. Thumbs up matey, no problem. (I wonder if Mr. Sado is compensating for something?)

I think the portable raised fire pit is Ok-ish for the price. Around here it would be tolerated in many places where camp fires on the ground would be prohibited. For me it´s ok when you show that kind of equipment in your garden. In this case doubly so. It shows how confident you are that it wont ruin the lawn.

Hi Dan, firstly many thanks for the video which came in very useful for final decision on which fire pit to buy for our Autumn/Winter camping here in the Chinese mountains. The price you paid has made me gulp - I would love to be one of the middle-men in the import/export business! We have just in the past hour purchased exactly the same unit from Taobao and it has cost the princely sum of RMB38 or £4.22 including post and packing. A spare mesh is RMB13.9 or £1.54. Now I have discovered you I am off to look at some of your other video’s. Cheers from this Durham lad here in southern China!
