I have one and have used it several times on other people’s automobiles. Well worth keeping in you vehicle.

I’ve got one of these(different brand). You will not believe how handy this is, I’ve jump started 2 trucks,(batteries completely dead), charged iPads, iPhone...never fails !! You won’t want to use jumper cables again ! FYI - Phones, iPads, computer will consume more power than a few jump starts.

I have a NOCO GB 70 and we've used it about half a dozen times. It's a really nice piece of equipment to have! I one time ran AC power inverter off of it for about 6 hours running a small dorm size refrigerator and a radio. Play recommend getting the biggest one you can afford because you never know what you're going to use it for.

I’ve been carrying one of those small jump starters for several years now. My first one was even smaller in size than the one you have. It came in useful not long after getting it when my Jeep battery crapped while out at the end of Hells Revenge trail in Moab. It still works but I passed it along to my daughter when I got-a newer one.

Everyone should have one of these, whether it’s for off-roading or not. Btw nice new intro

I have purchased one for all of my vehicles. I still carry jumper cables, but haven't used them in a long time, the battery jump start pack has worked a couple of times!
@graybeard735 жыл бұрын
I purchased a unit about 4 years ago from Anti-Gravity Battery, and when it finally failed I bought another one from them. I used it to jump cars, trucks, riding lawn mowers, and charge laptops and cell phones. I don't ever for see me not having one.

Important note: make sure everything in ur car is turned off before attaching the clamps. I did this once with an old model jump starter and sparks flew, there’s also a big risk for stuff close to the battery exploding Also, turn off the jump starter before removing clamps.

Great video. Love all the stuff you cover. I've seen some comments about not liking non-mod videos, but I think you cover a lot of just good idea stuff to have for the jeep. Getting this and the spray washer you covered a few videos back. Keep up the good work!

That model does not come with a household type charger. You can charge it only via a USB connection. You can also charge it via your cigarette lighter's outlet (it comes with an adapter). That would be good for after you jump start you car, you can immediately start to recharge the unit (assuming you will be driving for a while -- otherwise, you might as well recharge it when you get home). When you connect the cable (as seen in this video), you will get a green, blinking light on the battery (not shown in this video -- he showed battery level lights). Then, when you connect the charger to your car's battery, the green blinking light should become a steady green light. That is how you know that you have a good connection. The built-in flashlight is not too bright. But it is good enough to see how you are connecting the cables to your battery on a dark night. But it is not too many lumens. Also, the length of the cables is short. It is just long enough to connect to your battery's terminals. If you have an issue with your battery's terminals (corroded, for example, or the hefty charger pulls on the cables and makes them come loose), and the the negative will not stay clamped, then the cable is not long enough to reach anywhere else to complete the circuit. So a set of jumper cables can be used as an extension cord -- so keep a pair on hand if this is a concern. Duracell emphasizes that you keep the unit fully charged. So after you use it, you should recharge it. Otherwise, you will shorten the lifespan of the unit. If you let it go dead, it might not hold a charge and will become a paperweight. Lastly, Duracell emphasizes that the unit is good for high power, but only for short bursts (no more than 4 seconds). Exceeding that will damage the unit. So if you have an engine that has trouble turning over with a good battery, then this unit might not get you started when you have to jump start your vehicle.

I am looking to replace my lead acid jump starters from Die Hard and Dewalt because they die quickly after being in trunk only a couple of weeks. I also wanted the bluetooth notification if battery is low.

Nice handy device that will get you home. The only down side is, duracell should not try to "hide" in microscopic letters on the bottom right hand side of the box that an ac wall charger is not included. Even cheap tools and toys come with an ac wall charger. An included ac wall charger is a must have due to the heavy draw from this device. As the instructions say, you should keep your engine running for "up to 4 hours" while charging with the car charger. And that is too slow and only useful if you are out in the boonies away from an ac source
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
It will charge with any standard usb wall charger

Why didn't you just drain the old jeeps battery ? If you was worried about hurtin your battery ?
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
Haha well I knew the odyssey battery would handle it better. The xj battery would probably actually die for good, and the LJ battery I have no idea about haha. I had the most confidence in the JK battery to withstand the drain.

Does this negate the need for a dual battery? And what fenders are on your jk?
@JKGearandGadgets4 жыл бұрын
Dual battery’s have other great benefits, but at least this way we don’t have to worry about the jeep not starting in the woods. The fenders are from MCE and they are they narrow version fronts

Thanks, do you happen to have a side post battery to see if the clamps hold on tight ? All the ones I have see will work great on top post like in our jeep, but my truck has a side post battery.
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
Oo that’s a good question. I don’t have a side post battery so I can’t check, but I know amazon has a good return policy, could always try it out and if it doesn’t work then they shouldn’t have any issues with a refund. But if you can hook jumper cables up to it then these will be no issues at all
