Thanks for the amazing vid! Looks like an awesome commuter emc and a great value. Would love to see a vid of the battery removal process and how much effort is required to reinstall it. Looks way easier to remove than the production metacycle. Hope Ryvid has some test drive opportunities near their HQ in Irvine soon.

Amazing looking, but as a London moto commuter I'd need a rear hugger for the shock and something to protect the battery from the tyre throwing up grime and rain into it. Some sort of nicely designed shield type thing that integrates either rest of the bikes aesthetic. Good looking bike either way

sorry, I forgot. Because I will be looking for a city commute type vehicle I have thought it out and one of the issues I thought about is “service/maintenance “ So I really don’t want to work on a “one-up” suspension if say a something like a belt goes out or something gets loose strips …or … out etc let alone try to find someone to replace a brake or change out a tire…so, very important is having a NETWORK of dealers. This network is key to adoption and means everything to the manufacturer (sales network) and the buyer (purchase experience and service support repairs). please try to get this info when you talk to these innovators the engineers are terrible at business thinking!

If the frame is open it should be used for storage or to hold the electrical connections and the controller to keep them safer than it is now, it's not exposed but it could still get wet there.... Such a beautiful bike.

Since they have the clear panel in front they should also make a clear panel for the belt drive. You would still get the extra protection but at the same time be able to see how cool it looks.

I live in Rancho Santa Fe, and I really would love to buy one of your bikes… my only hesitation is I know you’re gonna bring out a battery slightly larger. And I’d like to have that. Initially excited about the Sondors, but feel let down by the final production version. This Ryvid seems to be a little better designed and more interesting. Recognize that this is still prototype stage, but production prototype… here’s hoping.

The battery removal, that was a cancellation deal for me. You need to unscrew the panels to remove the battery… so you know after a while this will not be secured anymore.

@@RedBeardp I don't consider a 50 pound battery 'removable' and most intelligent people don't either. I'd replace the 'screws' with some security screws to prevent the battery coming out at all...

Great price point. Open it up for the DIY, you had me right there. Beautiful design, I actually really liked the way they designed this bike. Simplicity. No liquid cooling, less things to go wrong or needing service. You have a unik chance to do various upgrade parts for this bike. What about an add on storage box that is water tight under the lifting seat? Or custom tool kit, tubeless repair kit? In a box under the seat? Or charge your phone in that box? Or keep you sun glasses?

@@ElectricVehicleSpace One thing I often miss while riding is a place to keep stuff. Especially in the best weather without a jacket with several pockets. If you consider EU it looks like your bike will fit the A1 homologation, that is the equivalent to a 125 cc bike. It will only require A1 license, and you can get that at 16 years old. If you do it for EU you can also sell it have plates in all the EU + EEA countries. These are countries where the scooter is a big thing. Everyone got one. Your bike can change that.

It seems like a much better buy than the Sondors Metacycle, but I hate the look of it. But that's just my taste, there are a lot of other people that love it so I hope they succeed at delivering their first few thousand without changing anything.

"Folded sheet-metal" frame is better than solid aluminum? 75mph for $7800 is better than 80mph for $6800?? Anthem, 'Good for up to 75mph and up to 75mi range'...(at 15 mph?) No stats on motor, voltage, or battery But pay $7800 to find out? '7.5KW Motor' means nothing w/o voltage. Thats 104amps at 72v or 156amps at 48v...

That would be great if we could use some of the empty space for additional battery.(of course it would have an impact on weight and weight ratio so ride quality ) The bike is gorgeous and light. Hopefully they gonna work on getting Californian incentives for the future buyers. On top of that California just granted many EV companies like Aptera massive amount of money, maybe Ryvid could have benefited from some.

@@ElectricVehicleSpace ryvid website says under the specs: rear drive motor with 'variable ratio' and 'final drive' (are they features?)...does the drivetrain offer the user an adjustable torque output? The spec is a bit lacking in explanation, and I'm curious if this is some innovation here.

And I think it was mentioned, but not sure how much...can or will there be an additional battery expansion of some sort? If so, some details about it would be cool. Also, some info on the controller would be nice. Can we swap the controller for something like a bac4000/8000 for higher output? Do they have plans to design and manufacture their own controllers? (Since they're clearly brilliant engineers)

If you want durability you really need to eliminate the belt drive and use a brushless direct drive in wheel motor. That would put torque directly to the road eliminating a transmission making the bike more efficient. There would be more room for a larger battery = more range.👍 Take a look at the RMK E2

@@gqp3215 I agree, belts are stronger but I am saying to eliminate the belt and a chain and use an in-wheel motor that way your torque is put right to the road without having to go through a transmission.

I have a concern about the Ryvid anthem It doesn't have fender front and back so when it to a pothole of water is going to splash to the battery and on the all bike

Illinois has 2 classes of motorcycle driver licenses. (150cc or less= Class L) and (150cc+ = class M) how do they classify this cycle... class L or Class M? or how is an electric motorcycle figured on CC's? Cubic Centimeters- thank you
