My son Milo has wanted to race Enduro for a while, we finally got our chance during the Northwest Tune-Up Festival in Bellingham Washington. I was blown away with how fast he went, we had so much fun riding trail and hanging out with everyone in the NW scene at this Cascadia Dirt Cup Race!

Trey here from Race Cascadia, great video as always, and super impressive Milo took the win riding two of three stages blind. This should also be mandatory watching for all parents riding with their kids at our events. It was the perfect amount of support and encouragement.

Feel free to share the video if you want, I always try to encourage people to just let the kids ride their race and be there in a support role, they don't need someone to tell them to go faster or try harder, it's all about having fun!

I'm a 15 yr old girl going into my first Enduro race this weekend. Watching these videos makes me excited knowing I'm never going to be alone in the world, as people have to start somewhere, at any age. I come from a family of cross country racing, and my sister raced at a national level, but I was always better at the downhill/tech, so I told my dad I would commit to Enduro racing, he said I had to prove to him I would devote myself to it, so I practiced downhill and Enduro courses everyday near my house and included practicing jumps, trakcstand, etc, and he got me a bike and armour for my birthday. I am so excited for my race, and Goodluck to your son! My father used to be faster than me, but now he can't keep up! Soon, it will be the same, as another comment said 😎

That is so cool to hear, you are gonna have so much fun!!! Enduro is a really good environment, I'm sure every race is different but all the enduro's I've done were very welcoming and people rode together throughout the day. It's great talking to other riders on the climbs and before/after stages too. Milo also races XC but he REALLY loves the DH and Enduro stuff, he's begging to do a DH race next year! That's awesome you're going faster than your dad too, I wonder if Milo will beat me by the time he's 15?? Good luck this weekend!!

That moment when your riding with your kid(s) and you ACTUALLY get a chance to sit back and SEE their progression is such an amazing sense of "it all paid off". Watching your kids progress and and seeing they have such a love for riding is so awesome. Good job on raising some great kids and GOOD JOB MILO! Keep up the good work and stay focused on the fun!

The last trail is called Dad Bod, it was definitely our favorite, like a super rough physical pumptrack, not an easy trail but really fun. That's awesome you're riding with your son too, they get good quick when you put the time in!

What's up! It was great to meet you! Definitely a lot of climbing, but I enjoy that part of it too. Milo made so many friends since you spend time with other racers talking on the climbs, it's really great for getting to know people and having fun together.

Trails look super fun and Milo read them well, congrats on the win. Despite this not being the usual way it goes, running it basically blind, I think that it's a format that needs to be encouraged, really does help those with pure skill shine. Can't wait until Owen's old enough to enter some of these, I'm betting that unlike with Milo, you'll still be a bit worried about what he'll do once he's "on the clock" 😆

The trails were super fun, and I agree on blind racing, I absolutely love the first time down a trail seeing how fast I can go and hold it together, would be fun do race something like that. Haha Owen is definitely a little more loose, you might be right!
